The Inn is located in an eclectic, interesting area known as Canal Place. It doesn’t actually stand on its own but is located on the third floor of a refurbished industrial building which also houses other businesses. The location is handy to a number of restaurants and shops as well as the Mohawk River and the Erie Canal, with its extensive cycling trail ways, the reason that we chose to stay in Little Falls. We enjoyed a delightful three days in the area and at the Inn.

There were a couple of issues. The two large black swivel chairs in our room are long past their prime, worn, rickety and quite uncomfortable. We think they ought to be replaced. There was construction work being done on the 4th level directly above us. The noise started at about 8:30 am. This is clearly temporary, but it was a nuisance.

The Inn at Stone Mill is a quaint hotel in a refurbished factory. It is right on the river and a short walk to the Erie Canal locks. It is walking distance to everything in Little Falls. There is a nice brewery steps away along with many great restaurants. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was good. There was a Keurig in the room but no K-cups. Ceramic mugs were provided. It has a bed and breakfast atmosphere. We would definitely stay there again.

The door knob locked to the room but there were no security locks on the doors. The outside door of the building was locked at 8 PM and you were given a code to get into the Inn.

Everything was wonderful!!!!! The historic building is beautiful. Friendly staff, spacious room, super clean and comfortable. Fluffy towels and bathrobes. We arrived on our bicycles after riding all day in the rain. We were offered free use of the laundry facilities as well as an upgraded room. Continental breakfast was pleasant. We parked our bikes on first floor inside the building and rode elevator up to level 3 where the hotel is located. Very convenient and secure. The restaurant on lower level of building served excellent pizza and salad, beer and wine. This was the perfect spot to spend a night while cycling along the Empire State Trail/Erie Canal Trail.

Loved Everything!!!

Spacious, comfortable room. Large windows overlooking the Mohawk R and Erie Canal. Enjoyed the fact that we could come and go as we pleased, and had access to the “Board Room” and kitchen where refreshments were made available. Breakfast was basic, but coffee was plentiful. Great locals breakfast cafe right across the street, as was gourmet continental restaurant for dinner. Little Falls is a lovely small town with history and ambience. Close enough to Cooperstown for our visit to the Hall of Fame.

Liked the eclectic mix of antiques and industrial chic, although the design was a bit hit or miss. Loved the aubergine wall, and wish the whole room had been the same (the bright mint was a bit much). It was very clean, and the woman at the desk was friendly and helpful.

The Inn is a little hard to find, on the second floor of an antique mill. Signage outside could be better. Breakfast was pretty minimal, even for "continental." And one "bedside table" was the refrigerator. Three walls and the bathroom were a bright mint ... in the bath, it gave skin a sickly cast. Some design touches were hits, but there were some misses.

Have been attending family reunions in little falls for over 25 years. staff in the Inn as well as Cafe, Manga and Canal Side were excellent. from Chef John, to check in and the daily interactions with inn personal was excellent. Used confrence room for family tribute to my dad friday night which was awesome. enjoyed variety of breakfast items and never empty coffee. Please thank all your staff for their always pleasant and helpfullness.

Room small...better suited for short stay or 1 person . we were there 5 days so a bit cramped and bathroom could use additional towel racks and use space behind door next to shower for area traveler can store..unpack luggage. AC directly over the bed was a bit disconcerting...

I loved the historic nature of this Inn. Having breakfast included was very nice. My room was large. The public areas were very nice and it was great to know this building was saved from destruction. Location is GREAT! It is right on the bike/walking Eric Canal trail. There is a cafe and ice cream shop as well as pizzeria downstairs but their hours are not too long as they close early in the evening. Staying at this Inn was MUCH better than staying at a chain motel. Employees at the Inn were amazing and very helpful and friendly!

I know this is an old building but the floor in my room sloped a bit and was a bit weird. Also the large wall that had the windows with a view onto the Canal needed a bit of touching up. It just looked lumpy and shabby. I know this was an old building conversion but with the general lovely nature of the Inn, I think some room wall touch up and floor horizontal straightening should be done.

On 3rd floor of a former mill, rehabbed recently and beautifully placed for cyclists and anyone else doing Erie Canal tourism. 40-foot high Lock 17 and Moss Island are just beyond it. If you're a cyclist, there is room for storing your bike inside. Staff went way out of their way to rescue us from a cellphone mishap - thank you!

Zero to complain about -everything was great.

Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Kitchen facilities were useful and well stocked for breakfast, which was help yourself. The building was beautiful. Home baked muffins were delicious!

The only small grumble would be that a fridge was being used as a side table next to the bed which although useful it did make a noise sporadically throughout the night.

These folks have really done a great job with a great old space. If you like cookie cutter chain hotels, you might not appreciate this place, but big rooms, lots of amenities and very pleasant and professional staff. I was happy to take advantage of the free laundry, and their restaurant is wonderful- an exuberant and creative chef, impeccable servers and great food!

I actually like everything about this place. Well, ok- no free outlets for chargers! I just unplugged a light to free one up.
