Belvedere Inn Schenectady - Albany

The price was affordable. Since I decided to stay another night the price was less. The breakfast was at 7:00 am, I had tea and a danish I'm not a big breakfast eater. I noticed juice, muffins, apple, yogurt, coffee. No eggs, sausage or bacon for anyone who desires that. The staff was helpful and pleasant.

Was surprised the room didnt have a coffee machine or tea packets in the room. The second night, i could have used more soap etc. Was a bit surprised the front door would be locked in the night at 11:00 o'clock and morning, during the morning i took stuff to my car and left my phone in the room with the code to get back in and couldn't get back in because the front door is locked. But there was an intercom pad to get in anyway so i called the number and someone gave me the code. I understand the safety of the hotel has for the guest.

Cleanliness of the room. Shampoo, conditioner and soap provided. Filters were dirty in the air unit. Coffee was nice to have in the morning. nice hot shower. towels were clean, but not enough soap.

staff would say only a few words. staff were not very welcoming upon arrival. the air filter int he unit when i turned the heater on blew out dust. I have extremely bad allergies, so I took the filters out and they were dirty. They were so dirty in fact that I had to take them out myself and run them under hot water and use a washcloth to make sure that they were clean enough to put back in the unit. I am writing this response to make sure it is actually being read my the right person who will make a change to this condition, especially during COVID 19!!!!!!! I hope to hear back from someone......WE SHALL SEE !!!!!!!

The room was exceptionally clean, and very quiet. I did not know at what time I would be arriving, since it depended upon when I was able to leave, and they were kind enough to call to confirm my arrival time. They offer a very nice breakfast with a good variety of choices, and pastries from a local bakery.

This is completely cosmetic and superficial. In my room there was a broken curtain rod mount, which did not support a curtain rod. It made the room look just slightly neglected, although nothing else in the room was objectionable at all. It seems it wouldn't take much effort to remove this obsolete hardware.

Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. (Soft bed lover- hate firm beds). We stayed in King suite with spa tub. Loved relaxing in that. Everything appeared to be very clean. Able to sign into Disney Plus on TV. Spacious and comfy room. Sufficient parking. The lady at front desk when we checked out was very pleasant. It was a quiet hotel without hustle and bustle, so it was relaxing. It was nice having elevator access too, instead of carrying things upstairs- something you take for granted because not ALL hotels have them. The coffee in the morning was good, and I am picky about that.

I wish there was an ice machine on the second floor where we were instead of going to the lobby. The front desk employee seemed like he was just “there”, instead of being welcoming in the slightest, when we arrived. The breakfast food left something to be desired -some was from a pastry shop but was dry/hard. They had cereal and yogurt- it would be nice to have better options, but it’s not a huge deal to me.

It’s an older hotel but they have paid attention to it. The room was nicely decorated (call me what you will, but hotel rooms with brown patterned coverlets are not conducive to relaxing for me. For whatever reason.) The bed was comfortable, the entire place very clean. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. No coffeemaker, but it’s available at the breakfast bar. I had an amazing bun from a local bakery—a really nice surprise. New HVAC unit in the room, renovated bath. Good, clean white towels.

It was very quiet until a party of four hyenas booked into the next room. There was a connecting door and we might as well have been sharing; I could hear everything they said, and they didn’t stop until somewhere around 2 AM. No digital charging ports in the room, so bring an electrical adapter. (I forgot mine.)

This a older hotel but we'll keep. The room was nicely done and bathroom looked to have been recently remodeled, but used more lighting in it. The carpets looked a little worn but are clean. The breakfast is nothing to fancy, the coffee is very good. It is quiet and a little of the interstate, but that not a bad thing. We will most definitely stay again.

The heater was noisy and the mattress sunk in the middle.

Very nice room. The bed could have been bigger for a queen.

I liked that it was quiet and they had a nice continental breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly .

The room was remodeled except for in the bathroom on the ceiling and the wall it was bubbling a little you could tell that there had been a leak and the shower curtain rod was rusty it needed to be replaced so they did a nice remodel they just didn’t finish up in the bathroom.Also I didn’t realize that if you stay only two nights they don’t come in and make the bed or refresh your towels but the gentleman at the front desk was very happy to get me more towels and more toiletries.

The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were so comfortable. And it was very quiet. It made for a very restful stay. Every room is nonsmoking.

The room had an odd smell when we entered it. The carpets were clean but older, so perhaps that? Opening the windows dissipated the odor and we enjoyed our stay.

Desk attendant Darlene was THE best. She was friendly and helpful, and largely because of the attitude she has and her helpfulness, we will stay again at the Belvedere.

Minor things. The toilet paper holder in room 201 is brown. The lighting at the base of the stair tower nearest the front desk is shabby at best dangerous at worst.
