Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown East

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They held our bags until our room was ready so we could head out to a reservation. The room we reserved was over booked so we were upgraded to an additional adjoining room at no extra charge.

There were stains on the carpet and no fan in the bathroom. The bathroom in our room was huge! But there was no counter space. My toiletry bag was on the floor.

Room was very spacious and good value by Manhattan standards. Plenty of options for breakfast and dinner close by at various price levels. Well located to a couple of subway lines making it easy to get to and from Penn station, and to visit the sights. 5th Avenue shopping was also within walking distance for a good walker. Room was clean and housekeeping was excellent with daily room service.

Sofabed (third bed in room) was not comfortable for a teenager. Decor was a little dated, but the benefits outweighed the negatives: the room was clean, well maintained and few hotels in Manhattan offered rooms as large for the price.

Didn't service the room as often as needed. The aircon unit was very very noisy

perfect location, close to everything; room was clean and spacious for my family of 5; and beds were comfortable (sofa bed was not as comfortable); housekeeping service was efficient; friendly and helpful staff; Michael at the front desk was very friendly, courteous, so helpful and pleasant with a nice smile. We will stay at Courtyard New York Manhattan Midtown/East the next time we visit New York again. Thank you!

We loved our hotel room. Plenty enough room for a family 5. 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and a six-year-old. The room was cleaned daily and they did a great job. We did lose a stuffed animal from my six year old in the mitts of the maid taking the sheets off. That did not make for a happy camper that night. Unfortunately they were not able to find it. If you have a little one make sure you remove all stuffed animals from the bed before service. Peoples comments regarding the poor breakfast service to us was irrelevant. We never ate in the hotel because we were up early every day. There are so many breakfast places around that honestly are better than hotel food. Do not let this stop you from booking a reservation. We ate at Carol’s Café and Greenacre park That was one of our favorite breakfast places. It is about five minute walk from the hotel. Well worth going two. Five people ate for less than $40. A McDonald’s breakfast cost us $35. Don’t waste your money at fast food. There are tons of restaurants that serve breakfast, bagel places a place called Paris baguette all within walking distance. Our hotel room along with the hotel were so nice. It is a little on the small side in the lobby but the room itself is great. There is a Walgreens right outside the door that you can buy breakfast food as well as other foods. The 12th floor of the hotel is where the breakfast spot is at but in the evenings it is closed and there is tons of space everywhere couches and tables and such. We got food to go one night and went there and ate and it made for a nice place to do that. I highly recommend the hotel. Very close to the subway and a very quiet neighborhood. One of our favorite dinners was within walking distance of the hotel at a restaurant called the Smith. It was fantastic. I hope this helps for anyone that is questioning whether or not to book. if you don’t care about breakfast then you will love it.

Lost stuffed animal. I wish that they had done a better job of making sure there wasn’t something in the bed before ripping the sheets off.

A great hotel in a good location. The room was very big for a family of 5 (3 x teenagers). Loved the sink outside the bathroom so you could still use that if someone was in the shower. Beds were comfy. Staff were polite and helpful, we didn't have breakfast as was too expensive but found a diner (New York Luncheonette) that we went to everyday!👌 Room was cleaned everyday and beds made which was very welcome after being out all day! Defo recommend staying here!🙂

No complaints, we got stuck waiting for lift for 15 minutes one day, but it wasn't a problem for us - just the way it was!

We stayed in a Junior King Suite for 14 nights. Upon request we received a room on the highest floor (31th). The view was amazing. Also from a lower floor it must be great, because the buildings around aren't that high or not that close. Water pressure very good, shower head is firmly installed, no shower hose. Elevators are very fast. Interiour design stylish, partly older but very well maintained. AC can be adjusted individually. Lots of towels, changed daily. Very big safe. Drugstore directly next to hotel, Wholefoods Market 4 blocks away, subway station on the corner of the street. Free Wifi very fast (video streaming was possible). Suite was spacious. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. Windows could be a little cleaner.

It was in a nice area of NY but there wasn't too much in the area. The breakfast room was really poor so we ate out. Reccommend The Madison Dinner 2 blocks away. The family room was great and fitted four adults comfortably though expensive for one room.

A continental breakfast should have been included as it was not worth paying for. Nowhere to eat when we arrived at 9pm or so, very little in the area except a McDonalds which closed at 10pm.

Absolutely great location, very close to 2 subway stations giving quick access to the entire city. Friendly staff, who were always available to help (kudos to Aixa for helping us getting back to JFK earlier than originally scheduled). I was traveling with my kids and this was one of the few hotels in the city which accepted a reservation for 5 guests in a single room. With a McDonald’s less than 2 blocks away, it was easy to get them “dinner” by the end of the day when everybody was very tired. We skipped the hotel breakfast in the first days due to the vaccination card requirement for the kids and found Morning Star cafe about 3 blocks away on 2nd Avenue. Great menu, it became our breakfast location for the entire trip. Will definitely consider to stay there again next time in NYC!

Better scheduling of the room cleaning, as it wasn’t done in one of the days for lack of staff time/availability.

The prices of Manhattan hotels are insane, even though I was able to book this one way in advance for a decent rate. It wasn’t the most amazing accommodation, but it was clean, close to the subway, they were great about storing bags, and all of the front desk staff that we spoke to were nice enough.

The line for the breakfast cafe was too long, so after a few minutes we decided to go around the corner. There are plenty of great breakfast spots nearby with better ambiance.
