1913 Badin Inn

Inn was beautiful, parking was easy and free. Owner and family/ staff were friendly and accommodating. They note it, but be aware there is no elevator to get upstairs to the gorgeous rooms. There are also few places to eat nearby and no restaurant at the Inn. They provide free snacks, coffee, packaged pastry, bagles etc. But on a Sunday or Monday night 'good' restaurants around the area are closed. There is no lake access at the Inn. It's fairly close, it you still have to drive. We loved our stay, but if you are looking for a lake vacation (and are staying over a Sunday or Monday night) there are some inconveniences.

The Inn was super charming with great decor that matched what I was picturing perfectly! The room was so nice, with a great bed and linens, a decently-sized bathroom, and a beautiful view. The complementary breakfast and drinks was a much appreciated surprise that made our trip less stressful. There was a wide selection. It was nice to see the tip box too, they deserve every penny for providing all that they did. The disc golf course on site was AMAZING! That was the main reason we chose this location and we were not disappointed. Top notch course with beautiful, panoramic views. The path would also be great for walking around just for exercise. The back patio was gorgeous at night! We sat down to watch the sunset and spotted deer out on the disc golf course. It was so idyllic! The location was really quiet and peaceful. It was exactly what we were searching for to get away from the busy city we live in.

Someone else's trash was left in the bathroom and someone had used the toilet and not flushed it. It kind of made us doubt the overall cleanliness of the bathroom.

The complimentary snacks and coffee were so helpful! We took advantage, (traveling with two teen boys) so we definitely donated some money towards it. Lots of privacy, and a beautiful Inn. My son will be going to Pfeiffer University in the fall, so I’m sure I’ll be staying at the Inn many more times in the future. If it were local to me I’d get married there. Such beautiful grounds and interior design!

It was kind of vacant with no one working the front desk, but as a former business owner myself I understand.

loved the historic feel of the building, the grounds were well kept and there was ample parking. the facility was clean, and the place was quiet. there was plenty of areas to sit in solitude.

perhaps a small breakfast, but thats up to the owner's ability to introduce. not a deal breaker. next time i'll get a room with a small fridge so i can keep something small to eat.

This was our first time visiting the 1913 Badin Inn, in Badin, NC. Jennifer and Vanessa were beyond kind and very enthusiastic about the property and it's history. The Inn was very quaint, quiet, charming and clean, with period furniture and decor that seemed to envelope you into times long gone. They welcomed us to make ourselves at home and to explore the property as much as we liked. Sitting in the lobby trying to imagine all the people that have come and gone over the last 108 years of it's existence filled us with wistfulness. From the Inn as it began, to the the Country Club it once was to the Inn it is now for guest to enjoy and explore, this place calls to you. The porches and patios full of rockers and plants are the perfect place to sit and chat. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and you have everything you need and then some. Access to a breakfast room which includes breakfast items, snacks, sodas, water and more, make your visit more enjoyable. If you love peace and quiet, history and old places that you can use your imagination to explore, this is the place for you. We look forward to revisiting the Inn and we will probably becomes regulars. Thank you Jennifer, Vanessa and Family.

Everything about this quaint Inn is wonderful!!! The owners are gracious and welcoming! This is our second time visiting Badin and the Inn and we love the history behind its origin! Thanks for bringing a piece of history back to life in a glorious way!!!

There was nothing that I didn’t like!!!

What a charming inn! The building and rooms were very nice and the bed was comfortable. The grounds around the place were also very lovely. We wete able to help ourselves to snacks, drinks and a variety of breakfast foods.

It took us a while to figure out how to get in to the hotel since no one was there when we arrived. Also, TV operation was a bit of a challenge, but we figured it out.

We had a pleasent stay at Badin Inn and definitely will come again. The hotel and the surrounding area are so peaceful. Our room was neat and super clean. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio. There was a snack area where we could get fruits, muffins, several beverages and so much more 24/7. The staff was so super friendly! The best hotel I have been in the States so far!

The location is very nice. Settled in a nice residential neighborhood with large oaks and maples, the setting is very pleasant. We could not have been welcomed more warmly or with bigger smiles. The facility is very comfortable, and the reception area is furnished with style and warmth. Our room was very nice, and the bed extremely comfortable. We will return for future get-aways.

Facility had excellent furnishings and very well maintained, snacks were generous.

No breakfast available, shower too small--at least needs spray hose, needs elevator for handicapped, air handling did not heat room.
