Sonesta ES Suites Raleigh Cary

The room and facilities were very clean, comfortable and very visually pleasing. I felt relaxed as soon as I walked into the lobby and saw the fireplace and felt the comforting tones. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I actually left a Hilton location the night before and can say this was a far better experience, especially from a value perspective.

My minor complaints are that the breakfast was not very good. The eggs were undercooked, the pancake machine was very cool but the batter was too sweet, there were no bananas or whole milk and the oranges and apples were mostly spoiled. I also think charging for parking (even though, only $5) feels a bit of a hidden money suck. A business should provide for parking for its customers. It's not a convenience, it's a necessity. Those two issues aside, I'd still highly recommend the hotel and will be coming back while lobbying for those minor changes. :-)

Excellent breakfast, variety, even Canadian bacon and turkey sausage. Tortillas to make my own wrap, yogurt, excellent fruit —fresh cantaloupe and pineapples, plenty of all of it, no need to ever wait for replenishment, very generous all you can eat, no stinginess whatsoever from staff. Very attentive staff.

Needed more variety of herbal teas, needed honey for sweetener, a low-glycemic index sweetener like agave nectar, chai. Could have added an incorporated DoorDash meal delivery, a one-stop stream-lined ordering system. You would beat all the competition hands down by offering something that NOBODY offers!!! Your reputation would SOAR if you get out ahead of the market on something like this, and be the VERY FIRST to offer something like this!!!! Also, would be helpful if there were staff to help load/unload luggage, especially or only for elderly/disabled guests, assistance out into the parking lot, a scooter/cart for an elderly/disabled guest to drive back and forth to their car, like at the grocery store. Thinking outside the box, here…….

The hotel staff was amazing. Very friendly and inviting. The location was perfect for our event at amphitheater which was only a 3 minute drive. The hotel and room were very clean.

The hotel room had some maintenance issues but nothing that hindered our stay, just meticulous things. The breakfast had an array of foods but everything was terribly dry. The sausage patty I don't believe was even real meat. It seemed almost like a wet sponge. Again didn't ruin our time.

The breakfast was very good. I was extremely satisfied! The location was exceptional. Very convenient to the venue of the outdoor festival that I was attending. Less than 5 minutes by car and about a 15 minute walk. The pool area and grilling area were very clean and well maintained.

The icemaker in my room refrigerator was broken. Hotel maintenance attempted to fix it but it still did not work properly during my stay. My room was very clean but my friend found a bug in her room and had to alert the hotel staff. They were extremely regretful and accommodating regarding the mishap.

The layout of the hotel room is cool. The kitchen has plates, bowls, silverware, & appliances. I like that there's a TV in the bedroom and living room area. They also had full size bottles of soap, conditioner and shampoo in the bathroom. The room was very clean.

I wouldn't recommend using the shampoo and conditioner unless you don't have a choice. I forgot to grab mine after getting in the shower and just used theirs. The shampoo is okay but the conditioner was very runny/watery. I have curly hair and it did not help detangle my hair at all.

All the convenience and amenities. I stay here very frequently and always enjoy my stays. Fantastic customer service as well too.

WiFi access points could benefit for an upgrade and performance. Everything else was exceptional.

Good location. Very clean. The suite was very spacious and included everything needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke coming from the vents in the bathroom the last two days of my stay. I told the front desk about it and they were quick to investigate it. That was the only issue.

We stayed at the Sonesta for 10 days and couldn’t have been happier. The property is nicely decorated and there was a nice area to walk our dog in back of the hotel. The room was spacious and very updated and felt like home. Everything supplied including dishes, silverware,pots and pans, stove, fridge, microwave,coffee maker and toaster. We made lunch and/or dinner and saved on meal costs. The two -burner stove was really a plus! Breakfast was provided by Sonesta, it’s definitely continental, but there was something for everyone. What sets this property apart from the many we stayed at is the professional and hard-working. Natalie, Julie, Christopher, Ken are the best hosts! More than just friendly, they all went out of their way to be helpful. My boxer loved them and they were great with him. Shout out to the hardworking and accommodating housekeeping staff.

It was a bit hard to locate as the area is somewhat congested and the traffic is constant.

I enjoy staying here for my family visits - Rooms have all that I need for myself and two kids. - WiFi performance was excellent and having kids with technology toys, the internet speeds was exceptional. Overall fantastic stay.

I had a old urine like smell coming from the bathroom when I checked in, tried to clean around the area but smell persisted. Not a huge dealbreaker.

The breakfast room was very pleasant and well furnished. Offered numerous choices of good quality and good preparation. Did a great job refilling all the choices so there was always enough for the next batch of customers coming to the breakfast room. Pancake machine was a big attraction.
