AC Hotel by Marriott Chapel Hill Downtown

extremely poor value. overpriced and very standard. nothing special. clean and modern but for the price, not a good value.

overpriced for the offerings. no breakfast included, service only every other day, no lotion,….

Location was great for UNC Orientation. Facilities were nice and clean.

The challenge we had was sleep (which is the primary reason we had the hotel). We could hear lots of noise in the hallway as doors open/ close and presumably teens ran the hall. But even more challenging was the air temperature in the room. Although, the temp was set low on the thermostat, the AC would stop running until manually lowered again. I tend to be very cold natured so when I complain about the temperature being too high, we know it’s an issue.

The staff was extremely polite and accommodating.

The parking is horrible. The garage is tight. The spaces are tight. I was driving a brand new car, and I was afraid it was going to get damaged. I parked it overnight in front of the lobby. Thanks fully the staff was extremely kind about this. I absolutely did not feel safe parking my car in the garage.

The location was great. We opted to pay a bit more and get a room higher up and we were glad we did - quieter. The room itself was beautifully, tastefully decorated, well laid out and pleasant. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Their restaurant is closed still so there was no breakfast, which was a bummer. I specifically asked via messaging if there was a fridge in the room (not mentioned in the listing) and got no response. I assumed there wasn't, but there was a fridge and I would have brought a few odds and ends if I had known that. Despite being high up there was still some street noise.

We came from Florida to stay one night before continuing on to Blacksburg, VA for the UNC/VA Tech Game (wish we had won!! Had not been to UNC since our son graduated in 2000. We all really loved the location, rooms were clean (just a little small but that was OK). Glad to have parking - although wished it was a little less expensive. We would definitely stay there again!

The staff! So kind and friendly and helpful!! All Of them- magnificent . Room was beautiful, perfect temperature-!: the beds were SUPER comfy

The bathroom doors don’t lock, and the shower door didn’t stay closed … I hate to even complain about anything because our stay was wonderful! We were in room 438

Great location and facility

One nail under sheet, which was no big deal but I am glad it was my bed, and I removed it without alert others. Breakfast is not included and the $18 paid one is pretty basic.

The staff was nice.. The hotel was nice!! but kind of pricey..

They charged me for breakfast.. when it was included in my reservation. 😡 And the breakfast wasn’t even good, bacons was burnt had to send back.. Got something else and the bacon was still hard and Burt.. There wasn’t a pool, or microwave in the room. The elevator smelled 🤮 To pricey!!

Great location. easy to walk to restaurants, campus, and shops. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the front desk and housekeeping staff were very helpful. The property was modern, finishes were shiny and new.

Breakfast seemed expensive so we didn’t eat onsite.

Great location. Clean. Dog friendly which was a huge plus. The staff was excellent. We accidentally got locked out of our room ( not key related) and someone was able to help us immediately. Nice amenities. Also liked the complimentary Starbucks coffee in the morning
