Rizzo Center, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel

The rooms/beds are very comfortable. Hot breakfast buffet is included in the nightly price and offers grits, oatmeal, vegetarian casserole, turkey and pork sausages, scrambled eggs, pancakes and great selection of fresh fruit and good coffee! Sonya, the bartender, in the bar/restaurant on first floor is super friendly, helpful and quite delightful! The Greek salad she recommended is a favorite of ours! Opens at 5:30PM. A guest pantry on each floor offers popcorn, cold drinks, ice cream and coffee as well as washer/dryer. Lovely hotel and grounds. This was our 5th visit this year.

There's very little to dislike about a stay at the Rizzo. 4 out of 5 stays this year have been great. Only one stay where we ended up with a room on first floor next to lobby was too noisy. All the other rooms were very quiet and peaceful.

We stayed in the main building which is very nice and clean. The property is in a beautiful location with nice trails around. We enjoyed walking around the nice neighborhood. The buffet breakfast was very good. Parking on site was convenient and the pool and gym were nice.

There was ice cream and drinks (juice/sodas/coffee) on each floor, but not much else in terms of food other than breakfast. Lots of nearby restaurants.

It is beautiful. The building architecture is consistent with those around it. We arrived quite late and the front desk was so welcoming. The amenities are wonderful although we were not there long enough this time to take advantage of it all. Yet we did get to the fitness center and this is by far the nicest and most functional fitness center at a hotel we have been to. We will definitely be back.

It was the most professional, caring and stunning hotel I've personally been in in the State of NC. Peaceful, Cleanliness next to Godliness, Quiet, Rooms beautiful, I wish I'd known you had suites, Amenities Superb, Breakfast the Best. OMG Outstanding and Very inviting hotel/staff. They had a huge fitness center, pool and pool dining area, two lovely restaurants, business halls, just everything you could ask for. A store, pantries, Terraces to walk out and lounge or smoke (I don't smoke) on. AMAZING!! Spot On! I rate this wonderful place 1000%, for fact.

The fact that unfortunately a few elevators were not too clean inside and especially where the buttons to push inside and outside it was just not sanitary, it took away just a tad bit from this outstanding beautification. BUT there were some sort of apologetic signs posted. I think it would have been best to have kept them closed off/out of service. I never got back in them I just happen to stumble upon them. And I hated the fact my visit/stay was over. I hated it wasn't summer where I couldn't get in the year round outdoor pool.

Exceptional breakfast and wonderful breakfast staff. The grounds were beautiful! Our room was so quiet. I loved the snack room. I liked the safe in the room. The bed was very comfortable. Check in and out was very easy.

Parking so far away. We had to park in a parking lot that was about a 10 minute walk. At one point we were running in and out and were told we couldn’t park in the front even for a few minutes. I would recommend this hotel to family except for the parking issue.

In a word: gorgeous. The property was leafy, lush and quiet. The views from the balcony were fabulous. The room was large and beautifully appointed. The staff members were friendly and accommodating.

It wasn’t ‘in town’ - if that is what you are seeking, I’d look a little further, but it was worth the few minutes it took us to get to the actual UNC campus.

What happens when you stay after the school year at a fancy hotel that doubles as a business school? Well, you get the whole hotel to yourself! My son and I traveled for one night and we literally had the entire, rather swanky hotel almost entirely to ourselves. Great facilities and a very large and awesome swimming pool that is perfect for laps. Regardless of what time of the year you visit, the hotel is really nice and we would stay again.

Beautiful property in Chapel Hill. Stayed here while I attended a training at UNC. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious. The hotel bar and restaurant were also very good and had a variety of choices. The free breakfast was also very good.

We didn't eat breakfast this morning but will try to make it for our next visit!

A restaurant on site would make the Rizzo perfect. The sports bar serves salads and sandwiches but you have to leave to eat a hot meal. The bartender ladies were very friendly and helpful when ordering food to take back to room. The Greek salad was a winner!

Regarding the breakfast buffet: I'm vegan and rather health-oriented. While the food options weren't catered specifically to me, the oatmeal was cooked in water (not milk) which was a very nice surprise, and much appreciated. Grits were available as well. Nuts to top the oatmeal would have sent me over the moon, but even having raisins and oatmeal did indeed knock my socks off (compared to typical breakfast buffets). Regarding the facility and staff: clean room, very comfortable and nicely arranged. Very comfortable bed. Very nice staff overall.

It was unpleasant to see guests walking around the passageways as if they were at home-- half-dressed and/or looking slovenly. That was a disappointment to me, as I had expected more class in public spaces. This was not all guests, just some.
