Hyatt Place Chapel Hill

The breakfast had a variety of options which were very nice to have. I especially liked the hot oatmeal with assorted ingredients to add, the yogurt and fresh fruit, and variety of things day-to-day to go with the eggs. The microwave was available to warm up the platter if necessary. The pillows were great. The workout room was exceptional with its size and the equipment available.

No microwave in the room. Everything was taken away for breakfast at the stroke of 9. No grace period of 5 or 10 minutes. Staff had trouble keeping up with the demand for coffee. Dispensers were frequently low. There as well coffee could be made available longer than the designated breakfast time. Guests were surprised the Labor Day hours were the usual weekday hours and not an extension of the weekend hours for the holiday.

The property was perfect for my sister and I! We had a little trouble finding the hotel, but we called and spoke with Amanda and she guided us the right way. She and Darryl made the experience amazing for us! They were both super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and they had a large seating area if you wanted to stay downstairs.

Booking.com may need to update the property's address. When I put it in my GPS, we got a little turned around, but the staff know exactly how to get you there if you need to call them!

The location was great for me. Very nice and quiet. The room size was awesome! The room and the hotel are very clean and that's very important to me. Also, let me point out that the water pressure in the bathroom as well as the drainage are fantastic. That's not always the case with hotels, even the really good ones. So I really appreciated that. The staff is super nice and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful! Really fantastic hotel and stay.

The only negative was that there was no room service. Only after the 4th day stay they come to clean and re-supply the toiletries, towels and coffee. But it's a minor inconvenience anyway.

Extremely convenient location, nice ambience, nice little pool, decent work out room, nice breakfast/deli/bar space with pretty good food, big windows everywhere, super comfortable bed and great shower! Most of all, kind and courteous staff! They took excellent care of us with big smiles and genuine warmth :)

I really wish someone had cleaned our room in our 3 night stay, at least taken the trash. There were areas that weren’t very clean, like stains on the carpet, esp in the hallways. It was too warm in the breakfast area, but filled with sunshine from the big beautiful windows, so kind of worth it ;)

The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. The hotel was clean with a modern decor. Rooms were comfortable, really cozy beds and pillows. Breakfasts were OK although I always find hotel scrambled eggs to be pretty tasteless.

The scrambled eggs. One of my family members had a Palmetto bug run across her wall and the hotel gave one night's credit. We brought the bug down to the front desk at 1 am in a glass. Hey, it's the south. Even the finest of homes gets the Palmetto bugs every now and then, is what it is.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Amanda was great! The hotel room was clean and decorated nicely. Great location, within walking distance to restaurants. The breakfast was really good and slightly changed everyday adding variety. The area where breakfast is served is very clean and has nice seating.

location was awesome and the shuttle to the Dean dome was great. clean and we will definitely be back.

Overall the staff and everything was great. the only issue we had was when we came back to the bar area to hang out after the game the couple people working didn’t really seem interested in being there and more interested playing games on the computer.

I was very impressed with my stay at the Hyatt. The property was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were so nice & spacious. The lobby was beautiful, had plenty of sitting and a nice little bar. It was very convenient to Chapel Hill but not right in town. Took me less than 10 minutes to drive to the Dean Smith Center.

I was disappointed there was an extra charge to check in early. I have stayed at NUMEROUS hotels, and I have never been charged a fee to check in early.

Friendly & helpful front desk staff!! Comfortable beds & spacious room. There are not many places that have their pool open so it was great that yours was. Pool was clean & just the right temperature.

I understand that there is no hot breakfast due to COVID, however it was the same single serve products EVERY day. The bagels & apples are individually wrapped by employees so in my opinion they could individually wrap other bakery items, bread for toast, ect. Also should have individual fruit cups. There is not much available for people who are trying to eat healthy. Plain oatmeal only, really why not other flavors. For the price this was very disappointing. Room felt damp. Hung up bathing suits for 24 hours & they never got completely dry. There should be a microwave in the room.

Last day I was showing my wife the sofa that she liked. Letting her know it was a sleep soft that was never cleaned, because it had food made up inside the bed and sofa had stains on it.
