Graduate Chapel Hill

No food avail in house, but surrounded by restaurants, etc. Bed was a bit more firm than our liking so a bit of toss n' turn...Was clean enough-no bugs. Some red hair on bathroom floor-mine's brown- but it was clean enough. Quiet... Extra $25/day for parking-not listed when booking so... surprise! Also traffic was heavy due to first week of school. Would maybe have picked a different place had I known those 2 things. Picked here bc they allowed small dog-which we ended up leaving at home (with a sitter!) but all in all-good place for the money. Would stay again, esp if 'off-season'. We had fun playing basketball with the stuffed balls too!

unique and original decor and theme, this property is centrally located for Chapel Hill. the desk staff were very friendly and informative. bathroom amenities were lovely.

the HVAC system was obnoxiously loud! no hope of sleep if it was in Auto mode, so we had to leave it on. The noise was like being in an airplane! and it blew so hard it made my head cold. No option to lower the fan speed. also, the worst tasting in-room coffee ever!

I was visiting UNC to check out one of their grad programs. This place was perfect. Within walking distance of the university and restaurants/coffee shops/bars. I was only there for two days and one night, but I didn't get in my car until it was time for me to leave. Everything you need is close enough to walk to (even a Target). The staff was phenomenal, polite, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is university-themed, which I loved and thought was perfect (there is even a mini basketball court in the middle of the hotel). Very nice facilities, nice room, quiet, and well-maintained. If I return to Chapel Hill, I am definitely staying here!

Paying for parking always works my nerves a bit. Only complaint though.

loved the basketball court on the 3rd floor! how great is that! plus the Michael Jordan memorabilia and the Tar Heels feel of the place. perfect location on Franklin St.

had to pay extra for parking ($25 per night), and they (like everywhere in NC—get with the times, NC!) use styrofoam and plastic too much. gross! Missed out on having a guide to area restaurants and attractions or freebies from the university, etc.

Someplace lush..... in a land far, far away (for now, we'll just call it Chapel Hill) lies a hotel accommodation fit especially for a King.........OR a Kenny G! While I did, in fact, request a larger room with space to better spread out, what I was presented was the charcuterie board of all rooms....The Penthouse; which would within itself, make my meager condo out to be not much more than a quaint nook for storing hum drum Christmas tchotchkes! Accompanied by 2 bathrooms, 2 oversized flat screens, surround sound, a CA King bed and a wrap around balcony, I was blindsided by the fact that no one was with me to marvel in all of this greatness! This suite was EVERYTHING and so was the customer service!!!!! Perched befitting within the very heart of Chapel Hill, this abode that often equates upwards of $650-700/night during "on" season was within direct walking distance of it all! Fit with (covered) onsite parking this boutique locale even toted an onsite bar and don't let me sleep on the shower y'all!!! With no less than 18 jets, let's just say that I then, began to search for added methods to become dirty all over again simply to enjoy another shower! Ahhh. This must be how Beyoncé feels..... Leading me to my conclusion. Congratulations "Graduate" Chapel Hill. You just made the Honor Roll! Meet me for summer school! You guys should definitely be giving lessons!

What wasn't to like???

The K room with balcony was fabulous- very comfortable bed with quality linens, fantastic decor. Balcony was large & private with 2 excellent chairs & a table- perfect for enjoying a coffee or wine with a book. The vintage Carolina decor was amazing! The staff were super friendly but unobtrusive.

Nothing really- bathroom is on the small side but did not detract from the overall stay and the pretty blue wallpaper, great shower & fluffy towels totally make up for it.

Perfect for a visit to Chapel Hill! The hotel is in a great location for exploring Franklin Street and campus. The UNC themed furnishings were so much fun, and the indoor basketball court was awesome! Great onsite bar, and the staff was very friendly and professional. The furnishings were very nice, and the rooms were so comfortable. Loved being able to create white noise for sleeping, and onsite parking is definitely a plus.

location and theme

$25 parking overnight…The beds were unusually low, and the shower design left portions of the bathroom floor wet, but this could have been due to the fact that we received a handicapped accessible room. Also, only bagels were offered as a breakfast item for purchase with coffee. It may be nice to add yogurt and granola.

If you are a UNC Basketball fan this is 1000% the property for you. The theme and Decour in the hotel is absolutely phenomenal. There is a basketball court with stuffed balls in the middle of the hotel so the kids had an awesome place to play. The bar was fantastic and they serve coffee in the morning, I cannot recommend this any higher.

Extremely close and perfect for visiting the University. you have to pay for parking but the garage is so convenient rather than searching for parking. we parked and didn’t have to move for 3 days. everything within walking distance including the Target. Room was very clean. Staff was so friendly and very attentive.
