Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown

Very large, quiet room, 2 queen beds, sofa area & coffee machine provided. Daily housekeeping were thorough and efficient. Reception staff on the 10th floor were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is included, and definitely better than average for an equivalent hotel.

The valet parking attendants on duty on our arrival were not at all helpful, they were not busy but still just watched myself and my daughter struggle with extremely heavy bags (she was returning to college), I had to ask if they had a trolley, initially just said no, then one did actually look and point me in the direction of them. I accept it may not be their job, but human nature usually means you help people if you can.

The room was luxuriously large and we didn't even book a suite. The view was incredible! The Valets couldn't have been nicer and the location is convenient for easy commute (walking, driving, bus, train). Even the 'bad' isn't but so bad. We'll be staying again!

The room was, in fact, NOT sound proof as advertised on the website but, the walls also weren't paper thin- still 'wished' it would've blocked the sound of one resident's VERY loud, late Saturday night after club party.

The staff are very welcoming and attentive. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The rooftop restaurant has an amazing view of the city.

The beds were a little hard. Breakfast was mediocre.

Breakfast bar was adequate - however it should have offered more fresh fruit. The location of the toaster and the bread items should be together - not separated. The selection of sweet pastries was disappointing! I had a chess burger for evening dinner and was disappointed.

$38 a night for parking is way over the top. This is not downtown New York city or Tokyo. Suggest searching out other options - even at the airport.

Location was great, close to what I needed, main lobby had a nice bar with affordable options for dinner and great drinks. Breakfast was good, plenty of options.

The entrance could have been marked better, my driver had no idea the hotel shared the building with condos, or that the valet entrance was off of a one way street, had to circle the block to get to the entrance.

Staff was excellent, location was ideal, rooftop had fab views of the city--great for sunset cocktails! Rooftop restaurant was great. Breakfast was so yummy!!

Room service didn't come on 2 days. Hotel Card key had to be replace *several time during stay. Call for Parking instructions. Location is tricky. One way streets makes it challenging to find. Once you find it, its easy.

Very clean,updated,and spacious room

Parking. Booked online for my parents to stay for Father’s Day treat. When they arrive they had complications with the credit card that was used to book with online. I was required to provide my credit card in person. Very inconvenient

the valet service was wonderful but the daily charge was a little high. the staff was friendly especially in the morning at breakfast which was delicious! The room was nice & spacious & pillows so comfortable!

the burgers we got our night of arrival by the bar were terrible with 1 dry over cooked burger Patty, a little cheese & packets of condiments (3 plates with fries & 2 mixed drinks cost $65! I originally booked a room 2 months ago & requested a second room upon arrival which was almost double the price I paid!

We stayed with at the hotel for the location. Across the street from the Spectrum Center and was a 4 minute walk. Valet parking attendants and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious. Larger than expected and very clean. More room than we needed for a family of five. Beds were very comfortable.

The food available onsite is low quality and overpriced. Pizza was served still partially frozen. Breakfast was not great. Milk was spoiled. Generic cereals. Extremely salty potatoes. Breakfast was inedible.

Everything! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was also perfect. Right downtown and close to everything. Not to mention the best rooftop in the city is located at this hotel. I can go upstairs, get great drinks and have dinner without leaving my hotel? Yes please. You can’t go we wrong staying here!
