Hampton Inn & Suites Cleveland-Independence

Comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was eggs, sausage and biscuits as well as cereal. I like the tea and coffee being available at any time in the lobby. Bed was comfortable.

Previous guests must unplug bedside lamps and the alarm clock so they can plug in other items. To plug them back in requires gymnastics as you lie on the ground and reach up under the bedside table to plug in the lamps again. This has happened twice to me as I stay here frequently. A minor inconvenient and not the fault of the hotel.

The location was very convenient for our visit. We have stayed at this property in the past and have never been disappointed--we weren't this time either. The ability to open the window in the room was a nice touch. I enjoyed the variety in the breakfasts.

The only glitch in our stay concerned to key cards. We had to have each if the two cards reprogrammed once, but after that they both worked well. The front desk staff handled the task with good cheer.

Size and style of bathroom. Good size refrigerator. Large TV (would've like to have a listing of available channels). Lobby clean and welcoming. Staff very friendly. Coffee readily available and enjoyed breakfast.

Iron didn't work (bottom looked cracked). Looked like some mold around bottom of bar in shower and when we wiped some water off bathroom floor, wiped up black/dirt. . . A number of electrical outlets weren't working (those on either side of TV stand). . . Would've liked an extra chair instead of the two cubes under the table.

We have stayed at this hotel before back in 2017. We usually visit the Cleveland area once a year and have stayed at surrounding hotels in this area in 2018 and 2019. This hotel is probably the best hotel in the area ( out of the ones I have stayed at.) We ordered a king suite with shower and it didn't disappoint. This is a TRUE SUITE ROOM. The living area is on one of the room and then the bedroom and bathroom on the other side of the wall. This is a nice size suite. There is also a small kitchen area with a sink and nice size countertop along with fridge and microwave. The room was clean and we had no complaints at all.

If I had to pinpoint one thing it would be the walk in shower doors. They never stay closed for some reason. Minor issue.

The location is perfect as the hotel is near the freeway but tucked back in a quiet area. The staff members are friendly, the room is comfortable and quiet and the wifi works well. Breakfast is basic but fine. The hotel is close to restaurants for dinner.

Maybe more breakfast choices.

The room was very nice. And the staff was just so sweet. I like that on the mirror in the bathroom there was a little sign that lets you know that if you forgot some of your toiletries, just go to the front desk they had complimentary items. I forgot my toothbrush and was able to get toothbrushes and toothpaste for free. There was shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom as well as lotion and mouthwash. I have never seen mouthwash at a hotel before.

Do to the pandemic the breakfast was not great. It was a paper bag breakfast that had to go into the microwave. The only problem that I was concerned about was an alarm kept going off in the morning and no one said anything. The workers were just going about there day while I was ready to run for safety thinking there was a fire.

The hotel room was sealed when we got there and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious. Location is very close to Cleveland without the high prices.

Breakfast was in a bag, Most hotels are now opening up their breakfast and having to eat out of bag was a bummer. The bags were behind the counter, you had to wait for the clerk to get to you. Even the coffee was behind the desk so you could not get your own coffee.

Breakfast was nice and the room was more than adequate for our 1 nighter. The price paid was also one of the best for comparable structures. It was not too far away from downtown.

There were minor things easily fixed, and that did not impact at all our stay.

Good quiet comfy rooms. Good wifi. Free parking and decent breakfast.

The breakfast room is too small and crowded (not appreciated during these times).

Derek and the front desk staff were really great. Pool was nice. It was a hot day and it was great to be outside

Wifi was sketchy
