Holiday Inn Express Cleveland Downtown, an IHG Hotel

That it was in the heart of town and within walking distance of the basketball game. Adult time in the lobby area was nice. Breakfast was nice and the ladies kept the area clean and filled. Always checking on the guest.

The price. We made request and didn't receive any of our requests. We had requested a room with city view and on floor 10 or higher. We were on floor 5 and our view was of roof top units. House keeping must not check the levels of shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower. There was no conditioner, very littler shampoo and soap left. Luckily we were only there one night.

The hotel is an old bank building so the walls are thick. Other than hearing water running from the room above when you're in the bathroom, it's very quiet unlike newer hotels. Everyone at the hotel, from the valet to the front desk to especially the breakfast bar ladies were very friendly and helpful to meet your needs. I was a little anxious after reading other reviews of this hotel but I am glad we did not pay attention and stayed at this hotel. It was a perfect location if you are visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or going to a game at Progressive Field. All within easy walking distance.

Just an FYI -- I accidentally reserved a handicapped room, which was my oversight. The shower was a roll-in shower so there was no lip to keep the water from getting on the floor. You had to be careful and dam up some towels afterward. For someone in a wheelchair or someone who can't step in to a tub, this was an ideal setup. We had to be careful but again, my oversight when booking the room.

High ceilings, Comfortable beds and vey quiet surroundings. The view from the 12th floor was very nice at night. The breakfast is over a bit to early but it was full of choices and was very good. We liked the refrigerator and coffee in our room. The bathrooms were very clean as expected. I must add I did a complete check of the room for anything amiss when we entered. In 1973-1976 I was a Holiday Inn maid and then trainer. I’m pretty tough on judging rooms. This one was very good.

The crazy elevator system. But it is a cool old bank building so you have to adjust! The breakfast was over pretty early unfortunately we missed even a cup of coffee on our way out the door. There is a nice restaurant on the lobby level with a breakfast menu but we were out of time so no luck. The security in the building is excellent along with the Valet service if you choose it. I would suggest the valet as the homeless population in the area is both large and not shy to engage at any opportunity. I don’t mean to disparage as my own large city has a large homeless population but not nearly as “friendly”.

The breakfast exceeded our expectations The staff willingly and kindly tried to help with the elevator issues Location was great for walking to Rock& Roll Hall of Fame, restaurants, breweries and the wedding we came for. Bed was comfy.

The cards did not work in the elevator. We once rode from 10 ro 1 to 3 to 5 to 10 to 1 to 8 to the Mezzanine for breakfast. Why because we couldn't get the card to work and other people called the elevator while we tried.

The room was amazing! Super tall ceiling. The bathtub was HUGE and jets in it. Nice television. Breakfast was also delicious! Great complimentary breakfast I've had at a hotel. Also the hotel was within walking distance of a lot of stuff!

The AC in our room didn't work and that was disappointing because I like my room cold. Also not a huge fan of the parking situation, but it's kind of hard to avoid when visiting a big city like Cleveland. Also the men's bathroom where they would hold the breakfast was in poor shape. Elevators were beat up to.

The spacious rooms, comfortable bed, settled for nice hot shower when no bath available, location, restaurant on premises, friendly staff, easy check in.

-The view-looking into someone's loft, felt like we couldn't open curtains. -The Keurig was broke. -The bathtub would not hold water. -no microwave -When paying for room, expected hot bath before bed after the cold game and coffee when I wake up. -Workout area and Continental Breakfast area were extremely warm to the point if being uncomfortable. When asking staff- "always this hot."

The rooms were fantastic and it was located so we valet the car and walked to all the attractions downtown.

The elevators. I am claustrophobic and they were tight. Also Booking.com put my first name for my last name so when we arrived they said I did not have a reservation but the staff was great and figured it out.

The room was huge and so nice. Was able to fit 2 adults and 4 cheerleaders comfortably in a king suite. Parking was tough so we just used the valet parking but it was worth the cost! Everyone was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was so good! Definitely will be staying here again next Cleveland trip!

Lots of construction and a noisy street thru the night.

Staff was very helpful with directions and helping with AC situation. Excellent location. Able to walk to most restaurants and entertainment.

Having to move roo.s due to AC problem but staff helped with getting us a new room during a time when hotel was full. You do need more valet parking attendants. We always had to wait a good while to get vehicle.

Great location, amazing free breakfast and beautiful older building. The best part of the hotel is the staff! They were able to get us in really early to the room after traveling all night! From maintenance, housekeeping, breakfast staff and the front desk they are really friendly and amazing people! Would definitely stay again!

The ac unit was having some issues and they do not accept virtual debit cards like Chime.
