Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Eugene Downtown - University, an IHG Hotel

Location is perfectly located to get to just about anywhere in a timely manner. Building itself felt updated and bright. The rooms were very comfortable and well stocked. The staff were all very wonderful. They were nice but not in a fake way, felt that they were genuinely happy to help and greet us. Crispy bacon at breakfast!!!

The thermostat system is kinda frustrating. We were really hoping to have a "fan only" option but it would only allow us to turn the temperature up or down. Not a major issue but the microwave controls/buttons were all in French...we managed to figure it out haha. Again not a major issue, but the shower was not 100% clean...wad of hair was left behind on the shampoo/conditioner dispenser.

the nephew told me that I couldn't stay at another cheaper hotel because well, scuzzy and 'dangerous' - so the good old Holiday Inn Express fit the bill... more expensive but I'm worth it! comfortable, easy, well-run, parking, central in Eugene for the UofO breakfast has that pancake machine but also hot foods, breads, hot cinnamon rolls, oatmeal - yeah, very good and generous hours (to 10 I think) and bags to pack for later/snacks (bagel with peanut butter for the road!) bonus - free laundry machine across the hall from my room!

room 225 does have a crazy water pipe above which sounds like niagara falls... and the shower curtain is kind of useless they do suggest emptying the car 'coz crime... ugh minor things

I thought the breakfast set up was very good, food temperature was good, the space to prepare your breakfast plate or bowl was sufficient. The cinnamon buns every morning was great for grab and go!

I think for the value the Holiday Inn Express in Eugene did a fine job. If I had to pick one thing it would be the elevator was a little slow, Other than that I enjoyed by short stay in Eugene.

The room we had was big enough for my family of 5. We had everything we could possibly need and if we didn’t, the staff would happily help out with our needs. The indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness center helped our family get out some energy.

My only complaint was the shower head…... sounds knit picky but there were only 3 settings on the shower head and they were tough to adjust to. Really, a tiny little thing that I would change.

Loved it pool was opened at 6am so enough time to soak it hot tub before i went to work today and enough time to take the kids swimming again before checking out thank u so much

Perhaps the most comfortable bed I have slept on during my weeks long trip around the North West. It was just a really really comfortable bed. It was also centrally located near the University of Oregon Campus. I liked the evening jacuzzi and the spacious room. The breakfast was great!

I am stumped. I really can't think of anything. I am trying to think of something but nothing comes to mind. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in other cities before so I knew what to expect.

Location was good with regards to U of O. Walking distance, 12-15 minutes to Global scholars hall. Good coffee at the dutch bros. right outside in case you don't like the hotel coffee. A grocery store and EMX station across the street. Very good and safe walk signals and crosswalks for ease of crossing Franklin Blvd for pedestrians. Good pizza place and burgers a short walk from the hotel. Can't say about the parking as we did not take a car this trip. Though I think we were asked at check-in if wanted a parking permit. The hotel shares parking with a residential apartment complex so parking may be tight when school starts? Some homeless population on the street outside but frankly, as an alone woman, I never felt unsafe walking around. They mostly looked like they were trying to stay out of my way and minding their own business. Our room was clean with a microwave and refrigerator. Good air conditioning.

The lobby smells of chlorine as soon as you enter due to the indoor swimming pool. But no smell in the room even though we were on the ground floor. At around 3-3:30 am I was woken by music and talking probably from next door folks having a late night party. But could go back to sleep so did not call and complain at the front desk.

It felt clean, a full breakfast was very nice to have, staff was very accommodating, parking and access were easy. I would stay there again

The only issue I had was that my room was not ready when I got there. (Due to an issue with housekeeping I was told) However, as I said, the staff was very accommodating and offered me a choice of options which included being willing to set me up and comp my a stay at a nearby hotel or reducing my daily rate if I was willing to wait. I did choose to wait and while it would have been nice to get checked in right away I sincerely appreciated the genuine apology and courteousness of the front desk staff and even with this small issue, this hotel will still be my first choice if I need a hotel in Eugene again

The hotel was very clean. The coffee, microwave, refrigerator area was well stocked with supplies. We appreciated the emphasis on quietness after 10:00pm. The location was within walking distance to numerous restaurants & the university.

The breakfast had some good variety but the quality was just “OK.”

The breakfast was great, the location is fine, and everything was exceptional. When I checked in the room I got didn't have a tub, I called the front desk and asked if there was one with a tub and the front desk lady (Emily) was able to switch me to a room with a tub that was the same cost as what I had already paid.

The shower head was a lil it of reach for me but I still got clean and had hot water to soak in so I didn't mind.
