Best Western Pier Point Inn

Love that they have a nutritious breakfast, although they need to add bacon. It’s not nutritious, just good. Their scrambled eggs were done very well. And they had yogurt. The room was sufficient for our needs.

We wanted a good sized hotel, not a “motel 6” style. So when we also noticed there were 2 places at this address, one being a Seafood and Grill Restaurant, a real game changer, we made reservations. When we arrived there, we found out much to her dismay, that there was NO restaurant. Such a horrible, horrible disappointment. Found out we had to get back in the car and drive back into town and find a parking spot, not the easiest thing to do. Then when we got back to the hotel, we again had to find a parking spot. Very crowded conditions. Not happy at all. When we head back to Florence again, we will definitely get another place.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was great having a screened in balcony for fresh air while we slept. We used the pool and hot tub area which were lovely after a long day of driving. The breakfast was delicious- lots of options, even some gluten free. Every person who we encountered was super helpful and friendly. Excellent service!

The pool towels were worn out and scratchy. Replacing those would be helpful. The view from our room/balcony was beautiful trees and shrubs, but totally overgrown so we couldn't see the view of the water at all from the lower floor room.

This hotel has an omellete station where a staff member cooks omelletes each morning. We saved a ton of money on breakfast. Our room had a very nice view of the river and town of Florence and was on the ground floor as we requested, as we had a ton of luggage to haul in. Meanwhile the front desk and wait staff were excellent, courteous, very friendly and knowledgable about the area. The hotel like all hotels right now is having trouble keeping staff. The front desk told us up front that if we wanted room cleaning to ask 24 hours in advance. We went to the front desk for new towels and brought them our recycling so it all worked out.

The pool is down about 50 steps and while it has a great view of the river, it is shallow - deepest is 4 feet so it makes movement somewhat constrained. Going back from the pool are two hot tubs and the dry sauna. The back of the room is dark and I felt no attraction to go into the hot tubs. The sauna works but I just felt like it needed a good cleaning. The hotel like all hotels right now is having trouble keeping staff. The location was great, Breakfast was good, the view was nice. The pool area is phenomenal with the river view.

Elevators would be very helpful. The Pool/Jacuzzi/Sauna room, awesome as it was, is two floors down and stairs is the only option. My hip-issue prevented us from using this area, though I really would have loved to soak in the hot tub and swim a little to work out my issues. The one trip down and back (to see what it was like) was all I could muster. Also, the floor in our unit at the east end of the building was rather sloped like the building was sinking. I saw no cracks, thank goodness! Lastly, the tree branches could be trimmed back a little to allow a better view without ruining the "tree house" feel of this top floor room at the east end of the complex.

The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The morning breakfast staff were extremely kind and kept the food stocked. They even made personal omelettes on demand! The location just on the outskirts of town and near the sanddunes was super convenient for us to experience the best of Florence. Beautiful scenic views over the estuary and the bridge crossing the river. The pool and two hot tubs were the cherry on top! Great place to stay with our kids!

We had a suite with a kitchen because we wanted to limit our exposure during COVID by mostly avoiding restaurants. It was well stocked with appliances, pots and pans and dishes. It had a full stove and refrigerator. The living room part of the suite had a view of the water and the bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is built into the side of a hill, that takes advantage of having many view rooms on that side of the building. That's good, but the suite we were in was in an odd place, down two sets of stairs and near the laundry facility, So the afternoon we arrived the laundry staff were still at work and it was quite noisy. Once they left for the day, it was fine, just a little strange to be down in what feels like the basement.

The property is just off the main coastal highway. They only had a “pet-friendly” room left when we got there but it was still clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are good-sized and the TV gets a lot of channels. The continental breakfast was probably the best we’ve ever had with the custom order omelets and a wide variety of other items. The view of the Siuslaw river from the meeting room while we ate was spectacular!

The view was beautiful and the staff was friendly. The rooms were nicely remodeled.

Understand that it is an old building. Even with renovations, our bathroom had plaster cracks and a make shift toilet cover for the tank. There are no elevators, so pack light, and if you run warm, be aware that the rooms do not have a/c. If you have a large vehicle, parking is very limited, and the driveway is very steep.

Excellent Breakfast selection and great staff, Sean especially was very cordial. Sorry do not hve the ladies name who also worked In the morning, but she was awesome and stepped up to help me with waffles as well as others as they wandered In.

Location of Bed and tv didn't work so well for bed viewing. Either relocate the bed or move the TV in room 230. Also, very poor overhead lighting in bathroom. Not so good for anyone attempting to apply makeup. If lights cant Be updated then install magnification mirror.

Very good Breakfast with hot food options and omelets made to order. Convenient free parking, Views of the riverfront and historic bridge, friendly staff, clean room, and well-maintained facility.

I don't like not having daily maid service of the room. The lack of daily service degrades the value proposition of the hotel. I know this became commonplace during covid, but it's time to return to normal.
