Lighthouse Inn

Owner's accommodated our request for a private balcony. The room was perfect for a family. The room was apartment sized with two king beds, and had partial separation. Our daughter was thrilled with the surprise bonus of a well-stocked playroom, (with toys, board games, etc. and plenty of closet space) which she enjoyed very much! The owners are friendly and informative. The breakfast room is very welcoming, and comfortably arranged for obtaining coffee etc.

We have nothing bad to say. If you are looking for an affordable, clean, and classic hotel that provides plenty of room & is decorated with charm-- that generously accommodates the needs of adult's and children, then, look no further! Some reviews mention no coffee makers, however, most hotels with in-room coffee makers don't taste good anyway. The most important appliances--frig and microwave were present. And coffee downstairs tasted terrific!

THE STAFF!!! And the fact that they lock the lobby after dark and provide REAL keys! :) The location was absolutely perfect for our needs, and the balcony was the best. I still ply my nasty habit... I smoke. But it was nice not having to dress and walk all the way out to the front stoop to step outside! We also traveled with pets, so the balcony was ideal for their feeding zone. We missed their breakfast, but I understand the biscuits are amazing and special! (Ask the host!) :) and the sweet birds are absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you so much for everything. Oh!! And the pet fee is extremely reasonable!!!

I didn't like the water pressure and the unfortunate temperature Flux in the shower... it was a shock to be zapped by cold! Haha! And there wasn't a tub... BUT!! I think that may have been my fault... I was offered an upgrade online that I didn't take. So, there are probably tubs available. Please check! (Unfortunately, the bulb in 15 was burned out... in the restroom. We left a note... sorry...) during the day that wasn't an issue!!!

From the moment we read the big sign outside that says "No Strangers here, just future friends" we knew we were in the right place. The place itself is old and therefore has lots of character. The owners are kind, understanding people who go the extra mile and not only hand-make biscuits and gravy for breakfast, but they mill the barely flour too! The room was large and comfy, the bathroom clean and light and the towels fluffy. To make it an even more unique place to stay, the owners have several pet birds, including Molly, a 65+ year old Amazonian parrot.

I loved the Lighthouse Inn. It's like staying with family. It's not fancy or perfect, but it's clean, the rooms are big, and our bed was comfortable. It's a very welcoming place, and in a great location near the historic and fun Florence downtown. To boot, the breakfast included biscuits and gravy, with biscuits that were handmade from barley they ground. I highly recommend the Lighthouse Inn.

Historic inn, cute rooms, spacious family room, sweet touches. We were very surprised by the size of our room and the hidden little “kids play area” that my son ADORED! We wished we stayed longer. The nice little free snacks and kids mini-toys offered were a lovely touch.

It’s an old building, so it can get hot. But traveling to the PNW in summer, it’s good to carry around a portable camping fan or two because most places won’t have AC, ESPECIALLY historic buildings.

The rooms were a great size - we had two rooms (5 people) that connected through the bathroom. One room had a Queen bed and a balcony and the other had a queen and one twin bed. It was a great stay - easy walk to the historic area for restaurants and shops and the (owners?staff?) were so sweet!

A few cosmetic issues - the blinds on the door to the balcony didn't close all the way (between the glass so couldn't be manually adjusted) so room was very bright in the early morning! Screens on the windows would be nice and the doors had the keypad locks but weren't used - only a key - especially for the connecting room, the keypad locks would be handier as 1 key for 5 people was a bit tough. (we did get a second set of keys as you need a key for the front door after 9pm as well as the room key and had people going in different directions) The bathroom door to one of the rooms stuck if latched fully.

The Fast Eddie Room! Thank you to Fast Eddie for making Light House Inn you destination adventure, we were able to experience the great room décor that was dedicated to your patronage! The bathroom flooring that was done is amazing, and the access to the room was excellent! They even made homemade barley biscuits for the breakfast, and they were amazing. Real coffee cups and dishware too!

We enjoyed our time so much we stayed another night! So there was nothing I can say we did not like. Even taking a walk was amazing!

The location was ideal. It is walking distance to may great things especially the historic part of Florence. Great beach only 2 blocks away. A short drive to the Dunes as well. The couple who own it are absolutely lovely. They were very knowledgeable about the area and very accommodating to myself and my dog. I would definitely go back.

I can honestly say that there was nothing I did not enjoy about my stay.

I loved the family atmosphere of the hotel and lobby. The location was a short walk from the Old Town area and there were plenty of choices for eating within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent (home-made biscuits and gravy) and the checkout was simple and quick.

Be warned, it is a pet friendly motel, so there is some nose tickles if you're sensitive to pet odors, but the room and common areas is clean and well maintained.

The lighthouse Inn was clean, comfortable and good value for the money. The age of the hotel shows in the room but the bed was firm and very comfortable!. Very close to the very quaint "old town" where we had an excellent breakfast.

The rooms could use updating however given the past 2 yrs of Covid the lack of updates can be forgiven . The room was clean and the bed very comfortable.
