Large house, ok stay for 1 night, lots of shops within walking distance, large rooms, clean bathroom, large kitchen with food available for breakfast

Location was not good, no parking, you will park blocks away, lots of stairs, no where to off load your bags, the spot available to off load, cars block the driveway. It makes more sense to put sig up stating the obvious. Other houses in the area have done this, so visitors dont block their driveways. Tip: once stores close, you will be able to move your car closer. If want people to recommend your business, you have to make it convenient to all.

Lights left burning all night made us feel like we were in a security facility. Maybe we could dim the lights, or perhaps there could be lights that we could turn off? Understand it's a security issue, but it was a bit off putting. Also, we did not get the email instructions about our arrival and had to phone once we were there to get codes, room number, etc. Witnessed another guest have the same arrival issue.

The breakfast was really great as I can’t eat a lot of heavy foods first thing in the morning. The fridge was always stocked and coffee was always ready to be brewed. The private bathroom I had was absolutely exquisite and the tub was amazing!! I stayed in the room upstairs that has the bathroom in the hallway and not en-suite. I absolutely love this hotel and I will definitely be staying again in the future.

The AC up stairs didn’t really let a lot of air be filtered so the room was kind of musty by the end of the week. I wish there was a way to open the window completely and let in some fresh air. Same with the bathroom. The air vent wasn’t super effective and it felt muggy in there a little bit, especially after a shower. I would have liked to use the tub more, but that may be more of a winter season thing when the room isn’t so hot.

The guesthouse building was beautiful and comfortable. The bedding was very nice and clean. The room we stayed in was great. The facility did a good job for Covid-19 precautions (although there was another guest in the room next to ours who did not wear a mask in the common areas as requested).

The advertisement said "private bathroom", but we didn't realize that the bathroom was down the hall. The bathroom that was assigned to us was not locked on the outside, so there was no way to know if another guest used our bathroom. Plus, being that it was a weekend away, I did not like that I had to get dressed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I wish it had been more clear that the bathroom was not inside the room. I would like to recommend (as a safety measure), that the bathroom have a lock that matches the room key so that no other guest can use it.

The location was great, lots of bars, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The house was adorable, super cute outdoor space and swinging porch, living room, and kitchen. I loved the room we stayed in, they all have different personalities and it was beautiful and comfortable. Our room had a claw foot bathtub, cute mirrors, and was very spacious. Great breakfast options such as coffee, bars, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, and other assorted pastries. Check in was a breeze and I would definitely stay again!

The location was ideal within walking distance to many great eateries. It was homey and charming.

It would be difficult to have a car having to park on the street in this popular area, but we had local relatives who drove us around when needed. I don’t mean to be critical but the pastries for breakfast were stale. There’s an excellent french bakery a short walk away.

Great location near restaurants, excellent ice cream. Morning breakfast options were varied & good. The rooms are very clean, charming in a vaguely Victorian way, and named after local literary figures. The back porch is nice for breakfast.

You have to go down the hall to use the bathroom associated with your room. We never saw any of the other guests when we did so, and the Bluebird provides nice robes, so it wasn't a big deal for us.

A super cute bed and breakfast in the trendy Richmond neighborhood, just steps from Salt & Straw ice cream and restaurants and shops. The inn is charming and has many nice touches like games and a fully stocked kitchen. Wish we could’ve stayed longer than one night!

As you might expect, this is an older house with some quirks like a very steep tub and creaky floors.

Great location. Incredibly clean! Beautifully decorated. Directions and interactions with staff were supereasy. Wonderful breakfast, and many little nooks and alcoves to eat that breakfast where you don't have to interact with other guests and make forced B&B conversation if you don't want to! If that IS your thing, there's a big dining table. But lots of common rooms to read or hang out. Just a great place.

If you get the single room, your bathroom is down the hall. It's clean, private, exclusively yours, and easy to deal with -- but when you book, beware that there's one room where you have to walk down the hall for your bathrooming.

We picked Bluebird for the location, which is outstanding when the pandemic doesn't have things closed down. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Although we chose not to eat breakfast there, the food that was available looked really good. It's a lovely old home, and we'd definitely consider it for a longer stay. This time is was just overnight.

The private bath is not en suite. We just assumed it was. If the guesthouse had been fully occupied, that might have felt a little awkward. They do, however, provide nice robes, so you don't have to get dressed to use the facilities.
