Comfort Inn & Suites Salem

Room was comfortable, staff was really nice, place was clean.

Breakfast wasn’t great but it worked. Maybe change up the breakfast options. With limited space to do so that may be an issue. We did have a disturbance one morning with someone who was drunk knocking on doors wanting to fight people. It wasn’t pleasant because we had athletes who needed rest because of their competition that next morning.

They had a “mystery deposit fee” they ran my card first thing that morning for the amount of the room and then ran my card again when checking in. I told them that they already ran it and they said “oh that was just to hold the room, it will come off once we run your card this way”. However it did not. I asked about it later that night and they said “oh that’s a deposit it will come off when you check out.” It did not! Finally after 5 days the money was returned.

The attentiveness of the staff

The hallways smelled really nasty. Our room had garbage and it smelled like smoke .We went to front desk to ask for another room but it was sold out. All they could do was spray some freshener. The pool and tub were also dirty. The area where the hotel is located is surrounded by homeless people and they kept peeping into the pool. We went to dry out clothes in the laundry room and the washers were out of service. So we just dried the wet clothes we dried 3 times and the dryer was not working as well.

+ Friendly staff + Location was easy to get to, only minutes off the freeway. + Bed was comfortable, lots of pillows + Window opened, and fan/ac worked + Breakfast provided

Just your basic hotel room with nothing too special. The price was great for $100 King size bed...I'll take that everyday and everywhere I go. TV took my firestick which is great and the bed was pretty comfy.

Walls were very thin and I could hear LOUD banging and noises almost all night.

The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were able to do our laundry while we were there but I'd suggest having more quarters on hand. It was a great stay and expect to return in 6 months or so.

The guy that checked-me-in to the hotel was very friendly, and Kristen behind the front desk was very accommodating. The room could not be cleaner. Nice and cold air conditioner was a welcomed relief from the pressing heat outside. Top load washers for really clean work clothes. Security cameras everywhere.

Bathtub had signs of wear and tear. It made me think about who else had showered there. The good breakfast was gone by the time I made it downstairs. I had to do with only a banana and a muffin.

The room and facility were great! Clean and well-maintained with comfortable beds. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. Easy access to freeway! I would stay here again.

The location is really busy with traffic and noise, and people hanging out in the parking lot, but thankfully once in the room it was quiet and the hotelmitself comfortable. A few more to-go breakfast options (besides a packaged cheap muffin) would have been so helpful, during pandemic.

booking told me I wd b charged a $100 security deposit but comfort inn charged me before I got there & they charged the price if 1 nite ($192) for security deposit. much more than the $100 I was told by booking. I was very upset abt this!
