The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. Employees were friendly and welcoming. The location is convenient but does have some road noise, as might be expected from an inn on the highway. Not enough to keep us awake though.

Nothing. Our stay was quite pleasant.

Aside from the staff being friendly, accommodating, on top of their game, the room was very clean and cozy. The shower had great pressure and got hot fairly quickly. For us, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. It was the best night sleep we've had in a long time! The location was easy to get to with a wide variety of places to eat. The only very minor ding I have is the sink plug wasn't working properly. The breakfast in the commons area was good. The food was fresh and hot, not dried out like some other places we've stayed. We will be staying here again and highly recommend The Hotel Salem to anyone traveling in the area or for locals looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway place to stay.

For our stay, I don't have anything that we didn't like :)

Nice room design with a separate couch/desk area and fridge/microwave. Would be nice to have had a coffee table or side tables while sitting on the couch. The bed was good and pillows decent. The view from the second (really the first) floor window was a wall of cypress bushes that blocked what would have been a parking lot. Nice touch. The Graduate in Eugene could learn from this.

The site shows a jacuzzi in the pool area. There is still a hand rail that leads to a rectangle of carpet, but no jacuzzi. I really wanted a jacuzzi. This would have changed my decision on where to go. On the bright side, the pool was not overrun with screaming children (Best Western Cedar Mills)

The bed was a little hard for me but my partner slept well... since he was doing all the driving on our trip that was what mattered. It was a lovely room with a coffee pot and seating area. I like that the toilet and sink areas were separated. All in all clean. The Breakfast was nice. Lots of choices and fresh fruit, also a mini waffle maker that my partner put to use. I had yogurt and fresh blueberries, with some scrambled eggs and a couple of sausages. Coffee was good too.

I had forgotten my own shampoo. I tried to use theirs. The shampoo wouldnt come out of the on the wall container. So I just figured it was plugged up. It was and actually moldy. As far as things go I would never have known otherwise. At least housekeeping knows now.

I stayed here in June. At that time the onscreen TV guide did not match the channel that was selected. I brought this to the attention of the staff at the front desk. I was told that they had just opened and they were working on the problem. I spent the night there last night. The TV situation was still the same. The evening desk clerk came to my room so that I could show him the problem. He said that he would let the manager know. I talked to the manager this am. She was not left a message from the night staff. The manager said she just sent Directv an email about this. I doubt this was true.

The room we stayed in was comfy: they don't have full suites but this room did have a large sitting area adjacent to the bed. The pool was big enough to swim for a bit of exercise. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was substantial and varied.

The wifi was too slow for video calls. The location, on a busy road in the suburbs, means that there's substantial traffic noise at all times, and it's essential to have a car.

Dealing with Rachel by phone for early arrival, and in person at the front desk, was a pleasure. The breakfast was sufficient in quality and selection. I have stayed at more expensive places that weren't as good. Not 5 star quality, but for the price we felt like we got what we paid for. The room was comfortable and the beds furnished with different sized pillows which we appreciated.

The bathroom was somewhat dated and the shower seemed to have a mind of its own. The temperature was inconsistent growing hotter and colder without being touched. Don't know how this happened but it was rather annoying.

Daniel was AMAZING.. super helpful and so very friendly. The rest of the staff that we talked to were ok, but seemed a little bored with their jobs. They were polite and professional without being friendly. The cleaning staff was extremely nice. The continental breakfast was fabulous. Organized and clean and the food was very good. One of the attendants was extremely helpful to me and I appreciated her assistance.

Let me start by saying, overall, eveything was fine and yes, I would stay there again. The price was as decent as you are going to fnd in today's market, and it was NOT a 'flea bag hotel' ... however... The beds and chairs were uncomfortable. The bed felt like a spring mattress with a moderately thin cover. You could NOT feel the individual springs but the give in the bed when you sat down was like an old time spring mattress I am in a wheelchair so they put me in a room with bars to help in the bathroom, but it was alllllllllllllllllllllll the way at the end of a long hall.... with carpet..... wheelchairs do not move well on carpet. It would make more sense, to me, to put bars in ALL the rooms, or to put them in rooms closer to the entrance of the hotel.

Staff was EXCELLENT. Reception was super friendly and went out of their way to give us perfect rooms for our needs as we requested. Remembered my name and phone call from a month earlier. Helpful, efficient and great attitudes from all at the front desk. Breakfast cook/attendant was also awesome and works very hard to make sure the breakfast spread is fresh, cooked well, and doesn't run out even when it was very busy. She also keeps the dining area spotless. EVERYTHING is constantly monitored for cleanliness and kept clean and sanitary. My friends and I were all delighted with our stay and will definitely stay here again.

More parking spaces at lobby level need to be designated handicapped since most of the parking lot is downhill from the entrance.
