Hampton Inn Clearfield

Breakfast and location were the best features. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful with information and snacks.

We stayed on two separate stays. Our first room has a broken desk chair - the raising/lowering mechanism was broken so the chair was always at low position - about 6 inches off the floor - too low to work at the desk. The second room had a broken in-room coffee maker. The device would not work in any of the outlets we tried. Climate control worked well but is noisy and its start/stop/start during the night is annoying.

Booking confirmed price as a genius customer 102. when I arrived desk wanted to charge 110 plus. I showed them my Booking confirmation which is clear on the price including taxes as 101.92. I was still charged 103.80 at checkout. One dollar more,no problem but please make sure you ask at the desk at any motel/hotel and show your confirmed price from Booking before you let them charge what they want.

The rooms were very nice. The breakfast had a very nice selection. The pool was clean and a fairly nice temperature. The location is good and near restaurants.

Our key card wouldn't work on the pool door. The shower in the pool room did not have any warm water.

The manner from check-out person was very professional. I told her the rate was different from my booking. "What was your booking, let me check it right now. Your bill will be corrected." she answered with warm and friendly face.

Great breakfast. Nice rooms. The late evening desk person is very nice.

The second night we stayed we were next to someone that was up early and kind of loud. I don't think they were that full. Was it necessary to put people right next to each other? How about leaving an empty room between guests for better sound control.

Quiet convenient and well appointed

We received an email before arrival telling us masks were required. There were signs all over the property that masks were required. Not one staff person was masked and I think other than our family I sAw maybe two other people with masks. We are vaccinated but wonder about the inconsistency in message.

Pillows weren't comfortable. Toilet paper holder was broken. Refrigerator waz loud, probably on the way to stop working.

The indoor pool was freezing and we could not use it. The bagels on the continental breakfast were very stale so the second day we went to Burger King instead

Second time in a month that booking.com utterly failed me. Supposedly they tried to send an email to the property but it “bounced” — apparently they did NOTHING to follow up — despite sending me multiple emails confirming the reservation. Horrible - but the Clearfield staff went above and beyond. They took the time to call booking.com, were kind, courteous and upgraded my room due to the delay caused by the third party vendor. What fantastic service!!!
