Altland House Inn & Suites

Everything was awesome. My husband and I took a night away from our toddlers. The Atland House Inn was the perfect place to getaway to for a short stay. We purchased a package that they had going on which Included our room, a 3 course dinner and a bottle of wine or flight of beer. —Beautiful rooms, Entrance to inn rooms without having to go through restaurant, live music and brewery downstairs, short drive to walk around Gettysburg. We brought our fire stick hoping to watch a movie and we weren’t able to. Small tv with no hookups and it was grainy. If you don’t care about tv then the place is pretty cool with plenty to do!

The room was nice - I liked the decor The wood working/windows was very nice The restaurant had good food

The TV was a little small. I had to leave at 4:45 am for work so I didn’t get to enjoy breakfast I kinda had the feeling I was the only one at the building though. I did leave pretty early but i had the only car in the parking lot and the entire hotel was dark

The location was good for what we needed. It’s on a busy road that connects a few main roads. The staff We’re all very friendly and attentive. The food was great A plus restaurant and brewery. Room was clean and Convenient , but the bed was one that sinks in the middle. The breakfast included was minimal -coffe cereal bars and yogurt.

The bed was uncomfortable, the breakfast was a disappointment. But great otherwise.

Maxwell, our host, was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our reservation wasn’t registered in their system right away but he spent extra time and effort to research the reservation and got us a beautiful, spacious room. The room was very clean and well appointed and even included two bottled waters. Dinner was excellent and the young woman who waited on us was very sweet and attentive. Breakfast was different from our prior (pre-Covid) stay but was a nice variety of packaged muffins, biscotti, fruit cups, etc.

While the Altland House is beautiful and located in a convenient location when we travel through Pennsylvania, the traffic on the rotary in front of the building is almost non-stop, so there is some noise at times.

The hotel is on a roundabout and above a restaurant which was confusing at first but really cool as we could grab dinner with drinks and then walk up to our beautiful and nicely air conditioned historical room (double bed). If I’m back at Gettysburg, I’ll be staying here again!

The hotel and guest room were a refreshing change from the typical chain hotel experience. The restaurant on site was delicious and convenient! Staff was very helpful and accommodating.

My only criticism is that the inn is located on a roundabout and there was some vehicle noise.

A small country setting inside. Room was large, heating was nice.

Well don’t shower in the morning cause the water pressure along with hardly any hot water. Weren’t informed about dinner reservation for evening meals if we were eating at the house. That they get very busy. Also no one at desk in the morning to talk to if we have questions.

Staff were great. Convenient location to many to-do things in the area. Room had elegant old-time charm. Comfortable bed. Exceptionally clean. Quality bed linens and towels, with extra pillows and blanket stored in the closet.

Bathroom and shower are a bit small. Could be updated. But, coming off of a pandemic it's understandable.

We had a wonderful evening with dinner and drinks. The room was beautiful and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.

Our bed was disappointing. Needs support. Felt like we kept rolling into the middle

Loved the history of the Inn, food at the restaurant, cleanliness, and comfort. The staff was extremely friendly. Dud I mention the food? Delicious!!! Loved having a place to eat right in the Inn. When traveling for business, the last thing I want to do is drive to eat. Atland House had it all. We will definitely return.
