Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lancaster-Lititz, an IHG Hotel

I love the location, that they have a pool, a nice area for breakfast or getting together with family which is why I go to Lancaster.I also like that they are close to downtown Lititz and to Target and Stauffer’s if Kissel Hill.

The women on the afternoon shift were very welcoming and allowed me to have my room at 2 pm. The older evening woman was not friendly, reminding me to make sure I cleaned up after having Chic-Fillet with my niece and her four children(Duh of course I would clean up) There was hardly anyone at the hotel between 5 and 7, which my niece commented on as well and which is also when my niece visited, but she came to the pool and said she had had 2 complaints about us bothering 2 other guests. Maybe so but like I said the parking lot was empty. My niece and her children were gone by 8 pm. I just found it interesting.

Breakfast had large variety of stuff. Hot oatmeal, fruit, omelette, cereal, buns,muffins, bagels.

Price was close to 300 for a 1 night stay in the 2nd week of December which was pretty comparable to other hotels. Overall hotel was nice. When I got the room the bathtub was full of water because the spigot was dripping and the tub drain was closed. Looks Liked they took about 5 minutes painting and caulking the bathroom very sloppy paint job was on the tiles everywhere. Also the shower curtain rod was ready to fall out the wall.

Great location, very efficient, helpful staff. Good variety of food for breakfast. Clean rooms.

Carpets in hallway on certain floors could be cleaner. We were in room right below where noisy tile replacement was being done on floor above us. Asked to be moved to top floor and were moved but why put us in that room initially?

Location was very central to everything we wanted to do. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the number of hot options for breakfast. It was nice to have ready-made oatmeal, and not just packets. Plenty of parking and a good wifi signal made it great!

There were no cinnamon rolls on the day we left 😞

Overall, the stay was good. The young man that checked me in was AMAZING! His energy was great! We stayed for three days for a basketball tournament. Was hoping to get a late check out, but the gentleman that was there for checkout was pretty straightforward about that not being an option. That was kind of disappointing considering that the staff at check in was optimistic about the hotel being able to accommodate that request.

I honestly have no complaints. I can't think of anything that the hotel needs to improve on. Besides not being able to accommodate a late checkout, everything was good.

The location for the breakfast area was good. The seating was spaced adequately so people could get around. Usually breakfast has make your own waffles but the pancake maker was perfect every time. Thanks.

Our refrigerator when circulating was noisy. That was all.

It’s a very nice hotel. Clean rooms. No outside pool.

We travel with our dog. They advertise they are pet friendly. We had to sign a paper saying if we left our dog alone, and it barked, that’s considered abandoned! What’s pet friendly about that? Very disappointing.

Breakfast food was tasty, well prepared, & well tended by staff.

I thought it was a bit pricey at $296 + tax for one night. Most Holiday Inns I have stayed at were comparable to this one, but they were generally in the $150-$175 price range. I can only assume that it was due to sports activities at Spooky Nook, but that doesn’t make it right. Seems more like price gouging.

Twas a clean well lighted place with decent pool and decent breakfast options.

Some furniture in dining area was shabby. Bottom of footstoll in room torn. Would rather have sample sizes of shampoo rather than the canisters which can be subject to tampering.

I mistakenly reserved a handicapped accessible room. Apparently this means no shelves in the bathroom which we could have used. We liked being on the first floor which was probably due to having the that type of room.

We walked into the lobby Saturday (6/5) evening and neither of the gentlemen sitting behind the counter said a word. One of them had long blue tinted hair. I couldn’t describe the other one. Not very good business practice.
