Hampton Inn Charleston North

The room, bed and bathroom were great! The breakfast was fantastic!

Our reservation was completed through Booking.com. When we arrived, Omar welcomed us and gave us the keys to our room. Booking.com always asks for special requests and we had asked for a..."Quiet room...away from elevator and ice machine" as we were later advised via email that Hampton Inn had met our request. Yet, our room #220 was adjacent to the ice machine and drink machine! We advised Omar of the situation and he was apologetic and very kind as he put us into another room #436, a quiet room away from the ice machine and elevator, at the end of the hall on the 4th floor at no additional cost!

The breakfast items where very limited. I know it is hard to offer a huge variety with limited space but we had just stayed at another hotel in Charlotte with limited serving space and they had a variety of breakfast sandwiches along with everything else that you had. this is not a complaint we enjoyed what you had I am just suggesting that some do like a breakfast sandwich instead of sweet stuff like the waffles and cereal.

I sure wish they wouldn't pipe in music in the breakfast area / lobby. Not everyone loves disco, you know. If people want to eat to music, we all have smartphones and ear buds these days. We ended up taking our breakfast upstairs (every...single...day). Very limited space for unpacking into. One little set of racks that we used for food items. No drawers anywhere in the room.

Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly.

Unfortunately, we were there during renovations and we ourselves are going through renovations at home, so hearing the saws and hammering just reminded us of what we were taking a break from. But definitely not the hotels fault. Everything else was wonderful!

I loved Stephanie at the front desk. She was everything and more. There was also another lady but I can't remember her name. Also the lady that made breakfast(she was a doll).

The caucasian lady that worked the desk 2nd shift... when asked a question, she was very snobbish....

The kindness and appreciative manner of the employees was the first benefit I noted. Stephanie at the front desk went way out of her way to make sure we were happy and comfortable with the accommodations. Retha and Margaret were cheerful faces first thing in the morning at breakfast, making it welcoming and satisfying.

Too cold to use the pool. Perhaps a heated pool since enclosing the pool would be a big expense at this point.

Check in and check out were quick. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great value and location, close to were we where needing to go. Breakfast was great.

The pool appeared to be open, but it was not very clean. Vent in bathroom did not work and the toilet would keep flushing if you did not jiggle the handle.

Super clean hotel, even with the renovation that they are doing they are able to keep everything super clean and in great order. Rooms are very well appointed, beds are super comfy and the breakfast choices were plenty. The staff is so friendly and everyone is super sweet. So happy we booked this hotel. It'll be our 1st choice for a stay in Charleston. Keep up the good work.

we have no complaints

The staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful. Retha, Stephanie, Kruscher were so nice and the other lady who I met there initially was the best!! I believe she was the manager. The breakfast was really good!

Noise, doors slamming all hours of the night. The lobby was under construction so it was a mess but that was understandable. Walls are thin, you can Harare others loudness.

I liked that it was clean and smelled clean/ I liked that the bed and linens were clean and smelled nice and the bed mattress was comfortable- I liked that there were samples toiletries available and a hair dryer. That was helpful! I appreciate that it was not dated looking or smoky smelling or dirty!!

Idk if bathrobes are ever available but those would have been very nice
