Holiday Inn Express Charleston US Highway 17 & I-526, an IHG Hotel

Our stay was a Great experience. Considering the CDC regulations, the staff handled us in a comforting manner. They made us feel welcome. I would definitely look to stay here again for future visits.

I really liked the hospitality, the kindness of the employees, the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms. the bed and the pillows super comfortable.

I had to find a hotel last minute and I was able get a room in lightening speed and an excellent price. My room was large, clean, cool, and comfortable. The staff was SO. KIND. I had to book a second night last minute and they were so gracious and accommodating. Stay here!! Great location. Breakfast was also good.

Convenient access to highway, only 15-20 min by car to Downtown Charleston and about 20 min to Magnolia Plantation Gardens; plenty of restaurants within walking distance (Taste of West Ashley had exceptional food!) Breakfast was ok: no great variety, but some hot items available.

I had a corner room and it could hear all the noise from the street (no soundproofing). Saw several small roaches in the room - the front desk assistant told me the exterminator has recently done the treatment, so could be just a temporary issue.

The property was in a good location, easy access in and out. Convenient enough to be downtown quickly.

I did not like that the property is a little bit dated, the air worked but the inside was always stuffy and slightly humid. The room had been cleaned prior to out arrival but still needed some detail work like the window sill had dust, dirt. The corners could use some detail vacuuming.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast was very good and it was refreshing to be able to sit down and eat on site again! The rooms were very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Where we were was very convenient to our plans. We were visiting family 5 miles down the road, and this was the perfect place… out of the congestion but very conveniently located. The price for the weekend was high but we do understand the weekend rates will go up at this time of the year. We enjoyed the city as well and had an amazing visit!!

The hotel location is convenient to both the beach and the city. Room and facility on whole were clean and comfortable. Rate was fair and reasonable compared to other hotels. Hot breakfast included.

Front desk clerk on checkin was not pleasant-grouchy-maybe having a bad day, but shouldn't take it out on customers. Breakfast offering of fruit and yogurt was limited, and juice was watery.

Noticed several cars driving into parking lot at night. They did not appear to be staying at hotel nor delivering food. Parked away from lobby and stayed in vehicle. One or two different individuals would come out of hotel for a brief visit to the parked auto. Or one or two females would go into the hotel for a short period of time and leave. Reviews of other hotels in same area included comments about activities that were ... "illegal". I would suggest that you request local police occasionally take a slow drive through the parking lot.

Nice place. Solid. Not good room location cuz we were next to the elevator so we heard every single person and ding. Poor placement of the room to elevator.
