Budget Inn Express Bristol

This modest motel was clean, tidy, in an excellent location. I had no problems except the number of outlets (a first world problem to be sure), so I heartily recommend this place. My less than a perfect 10 is so you'll notice that there was indeed an area that could do with improvements (no matter how complicated and expensive they might be in implementation).

If the management can get a motel-improvement loan, it should rewire the whole motel so that there are a lot more electrical outlets in each room AND that they get installed in locations where a normal human being can use them. It's all very well for environmentalists to complain about all the electronics, but the reality is that electronics are here to stay, and people need to be able to charge them in the evening and during the night, so just spend the money here, and don't worry about the stupid coffee machine.

Was clean and the staff was friendly, even though there were only 2 of them. Coffee machine in room, enough for 1 person.

Booked a room for 2 double beds, for 4 people, the beds were only full size. Only had 3 people, I told the manager there were only 3 people, still got charged for 4 people. The room was not prepped for 4 people, wasn't even prepped for 2 people. Extreamly over priced. I've stayed a week at a 4 star motel for less then I paid for 2 nights here. Very little choice in continental breakfast, cereal, coffee, milk, juice.

When you first pull up, from the outside, looks are concerning. Even the check in and breakfast area is small, cramped and dimly lit. But, once we opened the door to the room, fully expecting holes in the walls and blankets, bugs, etc., and it was pleasantly clean and nice. The beds seemed to be new and it had obviously had some recent remodeling done. We were pleasantly surprised by the room compared to the rest of the building.

The location was kinda hard to find at first.

The check-in clerk (who seemed to be the 'do everything' person) was very pleasant. The room was clean and appeared to have been recently repainted and tastefully decorated. The refrigerator and microwave were welcome benefits that I would not expect at the price I paid. The beds were quite comfortable and the AC worked well. The location was convenient to the Interstate, but the entrance is not at all obvious from the main roads. The best way in is through the orthopedic center parking lot.

Breakfast was very minimal (two kinds of cereal (Fruit Loops & Raisin Bran), milk, orange juice, and coffee). Breakfast could easily be a bit better. Tea bags & hot water for non-coffee drinkers and some sort of bread, butter/margarine, and jam for toast would have made for a vast improvement.

I was dubious at first but the reviews were decent so I booked a room. Tip: Ask for an updated room. My room was lovely...nice quilts on beds, comfortable bed, refrigerator, desk and brand new chairs....all for a crazy cheap price! The shower pressure was good, the water was hot and the tv had several channels....all for a crazy cheap price! The owner and her husband were delightful. They were attentive to my needs. I will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was sparse but that didn't bother me because at that price I really wasn't expecting anything.

staff was very nice, everything was clean . had smoking room and it smelled good actually couldn’t tell it was smoking room. treat bag when we checked out . plenty of hot water good water pressure

a guy came to our door looking for a man. got charged a $20 cleaning fee that we was unaware of until after room was paid. it was refunded back to card a couple days after . not enough towels and washcloths

The room was spacious and had good amenities (desk for working, fridge, microwave, hair dryer). Everything was neat and clean.

Breakfast. .. only 2 types of cereal, milk, and granola bars. Coffee available, but only powdered creamer. Not that I expect a lot for the price, but if you are going to advertise a full breakfast (as it was), you should have a bit more. Everything was outdated and the place looked run down from the outside, but clean and neat inside.

This is our 2nd stay @ Budget Inn Express in the past two months. Two different rooms & both were great. Beds were very comfy, water was very hot for the showers. I left my personal bed pillow on the bed last month & didn't realize it until we got home. I immediately called the office & they saved it for me knowing we were heading back this month. Awesome husband & wife ownership! They went out of their way to give us a goodie bag upon check out this morning! Definitely our go to when staying in Bristol from now on!

I can't think of anything we didn't like! What's not to like!

clean rooms, friendly staff. The free breakfast was quite good. overall very pleasant experience- would 10 out 10 stay again.

only con was that there was no designated area for your pet to relieve themselves. I finally found a very small strip of grass located in a nonobvious spot after walking around the entire hotel.

not only was the man behind the counter absolutely wonderful, but for the booking.com deal of $65 for a two-bed room this was an exceptional place to stay. clean, convenient, quiet, had the good core amenities (microwave, tiny fridge) and ice. the room itself was SUPER NICE for the pricing. the one warning is if you're a tub person (like me), my room specifically had a paint layer on the inside of the tub that was a bit rough on the skin. like the inside of a pool that you scrape your toe on if you aren't careful. but for the price, i can't complain. that's why i'm giving it a top rating. hands-down the cheapest nice hotel room i've ever booked. the man behind the counter was awesome. he was very patient with me despite a pre-paid payment not showing up, and he was just overall very friendly. it made me and my family (who had been traveling for five or so days, road-tripping) feel calm.

again, the thing with the paint layer on the inside of the tub. it was a tad bit unexpected. but besides that, really, i don't have many complains. i will say, though, that i'm a pretty low maintenance person, so perhaps this'll differ for any prospective readers of this review.
