Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin South, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was fine - met my needs. Thanks for the fresh scrambled eggs and crisp bacon. Love the cinnamon rolls!

After showering in the morning I realized my room had no hair dryer. I called the front desk who said they'd get one to me "right away". 45 minutes later I called another guest who brought me his to use. When I went to breakfast I went by the front desk, explained the problem and was assured one would be brought to my room. When I returned in the late afternoon, still no hair dryer. Went back to the front desk and asked for help solving the problem...this time the person I spoke to took it on herself to go and get one for me herself. I really appreciated her extra effort. But it shouldn't have taken three tries! Also, I found the bed to be rather soft.

It was a great location and easy access to my destination for the weekend. I also liked that they had a little shop where you could get items to eat if you did not want to eat out and the prices were reasonable! I was just there for the weekend, but it was also great that they had on-site laundry facilities if you are staying a while or your trip unexpectedly got extended. One thing that attracted me to the property was that each room had a mini-fridge and microwave. This allowed you to store and heat up foods. I also liked having the Keurig in the room. If the races come back to COTA or I have another need, I will have this hotel on my list!

Nothing, everything was great!

When we arrived, we were not assigned to the type of room we had requested. My husband talked with the desk clerk and she was nice enough to give us the type we needed. There was a mix up with our payment method as well and it took us two tries to get it straightened out.

The same thing that most hotels have going on now, which is less than enjoyable breakfasts and less turn-down and room cleaning/supplying than is optimal.

great employees an room. I found out after I arrived that they did not have shuttle service to the airport. they were very accommodating an allowed me to park my car on property so I could take a taxi. I would highly recommend this holiday inn express very good people.

Location was a little hard to find

This hotel is in a great location. Bank in parking lot, walking distance to Twin Peaks. Krispy Cream, Chill's, and 5 miles to Ziegler Park. A/C ice cold, rooms clean. Breakfast was good but you couldn't still help yourself due to Covid. Was served by hotel assistance. You had to wait in line to be served. Pool was really nice and clean. Hotel has a guest area for washing and drying. Has a nice clean fitness room. We would stay in this hotel again.

Aubrey at front desk went out of her way to help us with our stay. The room was the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed at, not a spec of dust in sight.

The only thing missing was body lotion but I know I could’ve just requested it to be refiled.

James was awesome. I bugged him for a Blanket, and I lost my key and we needed coffee. And It wasn't all at the same time so I kept bugging him. Beds are great, Room was great. I love this location away from I-35 (and close to Krispy Cream if that works for you). $94 for a traditional room and a king bed is so much better than an AIRBNB with cleaning fees and all the weirdness that can come with it :-). Oh and James was great. *****James is a Superhost

Ooops, big cobweb above my wife's head on the high ceiling, Curtin rods were leaning agains the wall, not installed (didn't bother me I didn't need them). Probably the only really disappointing part was VERY VERY little hot water. Shower was one step up from a camp shower. BRRR. Oh and the Bathroom was VERY VERY dark. Looks like you replaced good lights with cost effective lights and they suck...not that the chosen wall sconces are designed to give off much light anyways so you're probably dealing with sins of the original developer. Good if you're peeing at 2:00am, bad every other minute of use. I need more light. Room 102.

Great service. The staff was great also. Everything was as expected with no additional charges or crap. The lobby was really clean and lighted up. Thanks again

The fries and beer bottle in the elevator when we arrived. Used the elevator a couple of times the first night and the next morning fries and beer bottle were still in elevator. Things like this should be cleaned up when noticed by staff or reported to the staff.

I forgot my shampoo & conditioner and there was some ready in the bathroom shampoo, conditioner bodywas so that was a plus.

The shower curtin was to small and water would go on to the floor wetting all the floor.

Honestly, I liked it all even the breakfast.

The price change/increase even though we could handle it would have been nice to know the prices fluctuated day to day.
