Gardner Hotel

I like the convenient location. The rumors clean and there were no real problems with it. It was a little small, especially for $50 a night.

The room was small. That was no desk. Actually, there was no room to put a desk even a small one

Perfect location! Extremely friendly and accommodating staff!! Bed was pretty comfy and the amenities such as the cooking area and the games room were a very nice addition!!!

the towels weren’t very clean so we used ones we had brought with us- the ones provided had suncream and mascara stains- not too bad and we are certain they would be switched by the lovely staff- we just had our own

Wish there was breakfast but not a big deal, as there are cafe's and restaurants next door

Location! Good value for money if your plan is just to sleep after a day out in sunny El Paso, night out or after a baseball game (3 blocks away). Overall, shared facilities were clean. Great option if you don't want to stay at a regular hotel/motel by the I-10.

It wouldn't surprise me if John Dillinger slept on the same mattress that I had.

A short walk from the train station. it is a historic hotel and still feels that way. the decor in the lobby added to the older charm of the hotel.

the wifi was weak and the window doesn't open so the room was stuffy and warm. However I was in a corner room that got a lot of sunlight and the hotel is transitioning to in room air conditioning.

I loved everything, it was a nice stay

There's hardly no parking in the area, especially closer to the weekend and at nights. Also, I was in the hostel and I had a hard time with guys next door locking the bathroom on my side, since its a shared bathroom. Either put signs up on the doors or let them know when checking in

Stay was nice. Loved the old historic building. Staff very helpful. Helped us find food close to hotel with a discount. Also, staff informed us ahead of time of a slight noise complaint due to bar being close by but offered ear plugs. Luckily I'm a heavy sleeper and my wife really didn't notice.

Not that I didn't like it just didn't expect room not to have a personal bathroom. Used bathroom down the hall. When I needed to go, someone else was taking a shower so had to hold it in a bit. But I understand given that it is an older building.

Ok so I got this hotel because I had an appointment about 5 minutes away and I only needed to stay for 1 day. It was VERY reasonably priced for the area so I went for it. It was very basic and simply but it was for for the price. The staff was very friendly and super accommodating. The bathrooms are shared but everything is kept very very clean. I have a bit of OCD and was very impressed. It’s right in downtown El Paso so it worked well for me. Not sure what the scene is usually like pre Covid but a lot of the shops and restaurants around were closed which was expected. It’s a 10 minute walk to the border which I would’ve walked across but I was with my 6 month old and it all seemed like it would be tiring. There’s a night club situation downstairs from the hotel so it was a bit loud until 2am but I honestly didn’t mind. The pizza place downstairs is delicious and they have a good beer selection. American Airlines canceled my flight to and from this trip so the hotel was honestly the best part of the trip, I would definitely stay here again. There were no Air conditioners in the rooms and I thought this would be a problem but the person at the front told me it’s gets pretty chilly at night if I leave the window open and he was right.

The elevator was broken, not a big deal but I had a baby and stroller and it was kind of annoying to carry everything up and down. But I might just be spoiled.

really nice retro feel to the place , great lobby and nice characterful rooms . Good kitchen facilities and helpful staff .

We had good ear plugs so it didn’t bother us but it is surrounded by bars so you can hear some background music but it’s not too loud .

Cool place! Really old, big building, with nice rooms, a kitchen, and lounging areas, with plenty nearby restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, and the staff are nice too. I enjoyed the TV room. I spent a lot of time relaxing and watching the tube. I liked it all! Great hotel! I recommend!
