Hotel ZaZa Houston Memorial City

Hotel manager (who also worked the bar) was so amazing. He saw us waiting at bar late night and they were closing up. We sat in the hotel lobby and he gave us complimentary drinks! So pleasant!

Some of the staff not friendly. Asked one to take a photo of us in the lobby. He refused. Also our room was not ready when we arrived. And we needed to at an event in an hour - hs reunion. No other rooms available so they put us in a room that faced the air conditioning units. They did give us a credit, but we were required to use it at this hotel. We were leaving the next day back to Austin.

Great location. Lovely comfortable rooms. Nice bar. Near tons of great restaurants. Easy access to all of Houston. Staycation. Staff friendly.

Daily parking rate for you and anyone who visits you. Charged twice for same dish from room service. Phone in room didn't work. Was replaced but everytime I called the front desk they thought I was in a different room number. It stayed that way for a week.

This hotel was fabulous. We felt welcomed and the details set it apart from other hotels. The turn down service which one night included a Bloody Mary, delicious strawberry jalapeño juice in the lobby, and gorgeous eclectic decor made it memorable. Everything we got from the restaurant was delicious and the pool is beautiful. You get so much more than other places for similar rates.

The room was very spacious and a nice view. A man named Luis, that I assume was the manager was very friendly and the bar/restaurant were nova and attentive. The valet was fast as well

The room wasn’t properly cleaned. The ice chest had left over water from the last party, the shower had someone else’s soap, and the mini bar wasn’t fully stocked when we checked in which is fine but they charged us for the missing items when we never even opened it. They did reverse the charge.

The rooms, furnishings and toiletries are fabulous! Nice robes, cute slippers. Quirky interior design, great drinks. My balcony faced west so the sunsets were stunning.

The staff at reception was easily overwhelmed with the checkout process and request for company invoices. Such nice rooms should not have a visible minibar illuminated all night. The door to the terrace did not lock. I was on a high floor so low risk of break-ins but clearly and oversight.

The hotel is really. nice and the room was super comfortable. We loved that there was coffee/tea available by the elevators every morning--a really nice touch. We also REALLY appreciated that we were able to check in early, since my sister and I were meeting there from different overnight flights and we really needed to freshen up after flying overnight. I requested early check-in when I did the online checkin and the person at the front desk had actually read and remembered what I had written. It was great to be accomodated.

I wish it would have been possible to know in advance without paying that we could do early check-in. Ordinarily it would not matter but for people coming internationally or on the red-eye, it would make a huge, positive difference.

The property was beautiful and even better than I imagined. This was my first time and when checking in we received a free upgrade to the Havana Beach Suite. The site was unexpected and absolutely amazing. Very spacious, clean, and beautiful. The staff were amazing as well as the restaurant. Thank you Michael for your assistance!

Location was close to everything! Bonus was a great green space/outdoor area right outside the lobby next to a restaurant that the kids were able to play. We had been told by former guest that it wasn’t a kid friendly hotel (took 4 preteens). But everyone was great and never had a complaint or issue that there were children.

Under staffed at the pool area. But they were getting ready for a large private event so possible that staff was pulled to cover that. That wasn’t a make or break issue for coming back. We would definitely stay again!

From check in to check out it was amazing...the valet service was amazing too, very easy to use...wish they had a longer room service menu...it does close a little early for me but the food was amazing

I felt there was a little judgement on me and my wife we because she has blue has and I do not dress up at all...but that's any place we like to go, so not a biggie at all

The room was beautiful clean and comfy. The shower pressure was great and I loved the robe. It was nice to get real room service delivered with reasonable hours and a nice selection of options. All of my requests were met to the best of their ability. A small exception was I wanted a rub, apparently there are only 5 on the property but I was told my room would have one and it didn’t. I got a room service credit for the miscommunication.

My neighbors were SO NOISY to the point I decided to change rooms which was annoying considering I was already in my pajamas and the room I got moved to just so happened to be the same “type” of room but smaller. I didn’t love that but was also too tired to care by the time I moved. Also wish there had been a tub available.
