Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston - Memorial Park Area, an IHG Hotel

Great breakfast. Great rooms. Very clean. The blackout out curtains were the best I've seen in a hotel.

The only things that bothered me was the first night the employee was kinda lacking friendliness in service. The second was that calling before hand to confirm electric car changers were working and was told they were. On arrival for two nights they did not work. Staff didn't seem to care about that and didn't know how to fix it.

It was clean and very organized, I like the coffee station. Also appreciated the multi choices of coffee creamers. The pancake maker is quite impressive.

The plates provided could be better if they were changed into recycled ones/paper ones.

We loved the room. We had a king suite & the bed was comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor so when the elevator took too long we were able to use the stairs. Free parking. Loved the indoor pool. Water was heated but the jacuzzi wasn’t. It was nice having a hot breakfast. The recent hotels I’ve been to hasn’t had a hot breakfast due to covid. Location was great. Everything was beautiful.

The keys didn’t work for the outside door after 11:00 & we had to walk around. I’m not sure if it was just our keys or if the door locks at a certain time. We figured it was the door because we were able to get into our room.

I understand because of covid, the way breakfast was served was different (on the go). We just wished there was more selection available.

We had an excellent stay. Only thing I can think of that was a little bothersome is you could tell some front staff members didn't seem happy to to be at work. I totally get having a job that you're unhappy with or if you got personal issues going on, but faking a smile doesn't hurt. When we had questions, we were given bland answers or not provided much help.

I was traveling with 3 kids and I have to say that the location was great. I felt safe. The staff was pleasant. The breakfast was included in my price and considering COVID-19 stopping the option of having hot food ready, I was impressed that breakfast sandwiches to microwave were provided in place of that. There were other options available too! Also the room was nice and clean. Nice kitchenette area with full size fridge. Also, things were provided like paper plates, paper towels, spoons, forks, etc. That was a nice touch! I loved it.

The only issue I had was the fact that I was unaware of the $50 fee they charge on top of the total price. If nothing is damaged, you should get the $50 added back to your card, but still, it would've been nice to know that ahead of time. I didn't see that when I booked. What if I didn't have that extra $50, you know?

Everything was great clean and accessible.

The room service was coming two hours before my check out. To clean to clean room while I was still getting all my belongings together. Felt a little rushed

Location was great . We had quick access to venues that we had made plans to attend events in.

The plumbing. One could hear sinks or toilets flush from adjacent rooms. Pet fee was high. We have a small well trained dog , housebroken.

Breakfast was great better than Denny’s restaurant location was a little bit noisy but other than that fantastic The room was very clean very comfortable bed

excellent shower products. everything was pretty clean, except for the smell in our room.

I think it was the carpet that didn’t smell good 🫤

Room.was very clean, and staff was very professional and friendly.

Walls and ceilings were paper thin. We were subjected to the "guests: above us fighting, having sex and being loud. We called the front desk twice.
