Wingate Houston near NRG Park/Medical Center

Location was fantastic. Easy to walk to NRG stadium, close to freeways easy to get to other places that we were going to. Hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly. Price was exceptional when compared to compatible hotels in area. Room was ready early

Breakfast was poor- eggs were runny, muffins were cold, limited drink selection Room was fair - mattresses were hard, air conditioner was extremely loud had to turn it off at night to sleep making room muggy, no refrigerator in room only empty space for it, outlet in bathroom didn’t work,

The location was superb. The lobby was nice and clean and the breakfast availability was nice with good options. The staff I encountered during every shift was nice and accommodating. Overall a good experience.

The fact that there is a door that does not open was mind blowing. The lighting is horrible in the rooms and the bed was hard, hard to me and not comfortable. The rooms need upgrades. It seems the hotel room wise is an older hotel. Make them look like the lobby, the two should match. This explains why the room was affordable.

the distance to NRG stadium it was a nice walk. Also the beds were comfortable

The main issue is they have one entrance and exit for both the Wyndam and Wingate would be better to have an entrance and an exit at different areas. The Ed Sheeran concert let out and it took about 2 hours for all traffic to disappear it was hard for people who were coming in to actually turn in with the amount of traffic behind them so they had to wait.

Very convenient to NRG stadium

I loved that it was so close to NRG center. Only took a few minutes to get to the location (NRG center) of the business I needed to attend to.

That there was no access gate in the back of the hotel (where my room was located) to leave through. I had to exit out of the front of the Windhym hotel and drive around the block to get back to Kirby Dr so I could get to NRG center. A gate that we would have to use our room key cards to get in and out of would be PERFECT.

They were setting up breakfast when we checked out but we needed to try to get ahead of the traffic. The coffee was good.

A little chaotic at check in due to the concert that evening. The elevator was slow and sounded like it was about to break or something, we used the stairs after that. One exit door was locked with what looked like a piece of wood screwed to the top from the inside.

very clean, comfy beds, staff was all very very helpful and nice!! perfect location if you are going to an event at NRG. I would most definitely stay here again!!

breakfast could use a little upgrade but overall for free it was just fine. key cards were hard to get into your room however I do believe they are upgrading every lock on every room. this would not deter me from staying here

Location, location, location, was amazing. Walking distance to the NRG stadium. Parking was easy as well. Breakfast was a nice surprise and very good. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating.

Even though lobby was nice, the rooms were really run down. The hotel desperately needs to be remodeled. Some areas appeared to have water damage and there were so holes in the wall.

It was close to the venue. Free parking

The room didn’t have a full size ironing board. The iron was also old and not very good. The internet is very slow. So watching TV was near impossible because there is no other option from the smart TV except for local free to air TV with just a couple of channels. The hair dryer didn’t work and the bathroom doesn’t have a vent for steam. They need have a hot breakfast option.

It was a tranquil place to stay.

The first night I came, the working lady was busy on a personal phone call. When the phone rang, she placed the caller on hold to talk on her phone. She was also telling people to call back within 5 minutes. That's not good at all. The lady from booking called me and said she kept trying to reach the hotel and they were not answering the phone. I said I was right here. She was on a personal call. Please talk to her.
