avid hotels - Round Rock South, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was extremely clean and bright! The front desk clerk, Lonnie, was so friendly and accommodating! The room was so cute with tons of little nooks for storage and hooks as well, which I loved because it provided extra places for my entire family to hang out wet towels. I love the soap, lotion, conditioner and shampoo that’s installed in the bathroom! The location was perfect! You have any and every store or restaurant you could think of nearby! I felt safe, I slept well and relaxed after my long drive! Usually I have to do an extra tidy up and disinfecting when I book hotels because I’m just like that lol but here,I was literally able to get settled right in. I still sprayed my Lysol because I wouldn't be me if I didn’t lol but I really enjoyed my stay!

The shower pressure wasn’t as high as I’d like it to be.

If you are going on business to Austin/Round Rock area, I definitely recommend. Rooms are clean, spacious, and there is tons of parking outside. Good selection of restaurants both sit-in and takeout close by. It is a blue collar hotel, so most people here are in area for work. That means people do wake up early and there can be a significant amount of noise in morning. I thought it would be a bit more quiet, so maybe not the type of hotel you want to stay in while on vacation or leisure travel. For the price, I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The bed and pillows like sleeping on a cloud

Room was small lobby was also very loud, I can hear people yelling throughout the building at night. Parking lot is small and messed up I almost fell so bad lucky my husband saved me. Staff did not tell me about the deposit fee. Food was not that great , was still eating when staff put food away atleast ask if everyone had gotten enough. Manager gave us wrong directions when leaving and got us lost if you don't know then it's ok to say you don't know.

AVID HOTEL in Round Rock, Tx (on Boardwalk location) was FANTASTIC! I would suggest having some STOP SIGNS installed in the parking lot- people who are in a new place are often focused more on parking than on caution in the parking lot. We were almost hit by another car due to this, at a T-section of the lot. Also, lots of traffic there can lead to an accident, with hardly any STOP SIGNS in the parking lot. Everything else was great, the important things were excellent. Breakfast needs revision- the frozen sausage biscuits are not tasty at all. Thank you for the excellence in customer service, cleanliness, comfort, and quiet.

Bed was VERY comfortable and blackout window coverings were a big plus

Initially, the staff could not find my reservation upon check-in. Very stressful. Eventually she found that 'someone' had moved the reservation to 'already checked in'. She asked if I checked in online... I had not. Regardless of where the reservation was, seems she should have been able to immediately find it by my last name, but it took her about 5 minutes while I searched for documentation. Not cool.

Becky and Lonnie were very lovely and helpful! Becky was the first person we met and saw when we arrived. She was always attentive to anything we needed! Lonnie was always smiling and greeting us before we left to start our day. Our stay here was great and we look forward to coming back soon!

The breakfast was ok. It was prepackaged hot egg sandwiches and an array of fruit, cereal and packaged muffins which was still good.I love more of a sit-down type with pancakes, waffles, and fresh eggs but am still pretty satisfied with the breakfast.I usually eat too much at those types any way so this was helpful.Grab and go and not be weighed down by a super heavy meal. love the to-go coffee station and the lobby it was located in. Very lively colorful area and decor was very modern. Loved it! Lonnie and the lady with short hair (sorry forgot her name) before him at the front desk was very sweet and welcoming. Made my stay even better.

Single bed rooms were a bit tight but still really loved it.

This was by far the cleanest, nicest, most comfortable hotel we have ever stayed in. The breakfast was great with lots of choices like granola, cereal, fruit, omelets, sausage biscuits, and more. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel & I wish all the other hotels would mimic what they have done here.

Not a thing!

With everything going on, it has been hard for some places we visit to supply the free continental breakfast. This hotel was a little more than some, but with a family of 3 and free continental breakfast, the difference was minimal. The breakfast was very good and they had a variety of options which saved us from going out to eat breakfast. It was also nice that they had everything individually wrapped to make it easier for us to get.

It would have been nice to have an additional choice or two for the "hot" breakfast versus only having one item.

The room was clean and spacious. The TV was the right size for the room and the window shade really kept the light out. I also really liked the room lighting. Rather than table lamps there were wall lamps. Great idea!! Breakfast was excellent since there was a variety of options. I would definitely stay there again.

That I stayed only one day. I would have liked to stay a little longer. On my next trip I am going to book this hotel again. I was not able to take advantage of all the amenities that were available.
