Baymont by Wyndham Tyler

This is the hotel of choice when we are visiting family in the Tyler area. We have been staying here for years. The staff is always very welcoming. Areas of the facility are beginning to show some age, but we always see some upgrade every time we stay. We understand you can’t do everything at once. For the foreseeable future, this will continue to be our choice.

Considering that we went to Tyler for a dear friend's funeral that weekend, the hotel accommodations were very nice.

Some things that should have been in operation were not. Such as the restroom in the lobby. There was an Out of Order sign on the door. Very inconvenient for a 79 yr mother that you're caring for.

We did not get back our deposit. For what reason I don't know. This was one of my favorite places to stay in Tyler but every since our stay I haven't felt the same about it due to nothing being done to get our money back after talking to management. They should of at least applied some of it to our next stay but since nothing was done we have not been back. After doing alo t of business with y'all I feel like we weren't done right.

Amanda who works at the front desk is always so nice. My wife and I visit baymont every year in October for our anniversary and always so nice to us. It’s nice to see the hotel standards are still up to part because normally when they change ownership, things don’t stay the same. Great job on keeping everything so nice and clean.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about our stay.

Location from Canton. Near walmart and sams. Seemed like it was a safe area in town so we didn't have to worry about theft. This is enough info

The water smelled terrible in the shower. Even when we brushed our teeth is had a bad taste. We didn't make coffee in the room because the water didn't seem ok

there was another guest on my floor that had a dog that barked randomly during my stay. Breakfast could have a few more options, like premade breakfast burritos. Just a thought.

We liked that they did the best possible to give us rooms close together and provided with extra toiletries and towels as we requested. Family friendly hotel. Breakfast included was a plus that we really enjoyed.

That pool closed at 8 and was not open the morning of our check out, we tried to go one last time at 8am and they told us it was out of order. Other than that everything was perfect and super close to Tyler downtown restaurant and stores.

Clean, ,well staffed and maintained..friendly and helpful staff.

TV had an annoying issue with putting a screen up about signing in on wifi. Couldn't get it off the screen without turning the TV off. After 5 minutes, it comes back

Nice-looking, nicely decorated, comfy, great breakfast

Soiled armchair and wall (see pics). [Suggest adding another sweetener option besides Sweet-n-low, as many don’t use that because of the research about it and dangers. Stevia is great, or Splenda/sucralose.]

We really liked our room. The employee who checked us in was so nice. She had a really great recommendation for a place to have a nice dinner. We were a little disappointed that the breakfast was "grab and go". We always look forward to waffles and more of a hot breakfast when we travel. But other than that, it was a great experience.

We really would have like to have had a better breakfast. Or at least more options for the "grab and go". We really like the hot options and waffles that we are used to having at hotels when we travel. It's about time to get over all this COVID nonsense and get back to living. Thank you!
