La Quinta by Wyndham Tyler - University Area

It was apparent the housekeeping staff were very attentive to their mission. The breakfast area was clean and the staff member responsible was attentive. The cleanliness of the property was excellent.

Location was okay but not very convenient to a restaurants. We have stayed at other La Quintas before and the breakfast offerings were much better. Front desk personnel was polite but not as friendly as other properties we have stayed at. Would be nice if management took the initiative to put together a sheet of restaurants that deliver to the hotel. After driving all day that is a plus for guests.

They Breakfast was good. They had lots to choose from.

I don’t know if the walls were thin or that the person in the room next to me was snoring that loud. Had to sleep with the TV on to drown out what sounded like a bear. Housekeeping came to my room both days that I stayed kind of early around 9 am but I was asleep on checkout day and she came knocking. I mean check out is at 11am, can she not wait to clean after I check out.

Stuff was very friendly, my room was clean, it did have a musky smell and very spacious.

That on my last night people upstairs making alot of noises. From things falling, doors slamming shut, to walking back and forth and a constant noise could not tell what it was. I was very annoyed when I left the premises. Its not the staffs fault except the person that rented the room was not courteous for anyone else.

Location was great, upon entering property a fresh clean smell throughout was evident, clean lobby and hallways, quiet, and room was what we needed as far as size & mobility.

Limited parking, no ability or willingness to extend our check out time (we had arrived very late that night so would have liked to been able to rest a little longer), and stains on both chairs inside room.

The hotel was in a pleasant setting and was fairly easy to access. The staff was friendly and quite helpful. The bed was very comfortable!

Lightening struck this hotel shortly before my arrival! It damaged the Wi-Fi system, so the elevators & tv's were unusable, and it took several hours to get the key cards to work for the rooms.

checking in was a long process. I was told Booking.com had problems interfacing with their systems so of course I didn’t get the 2 queen suite I had reserved a month prior, I had to make due with a single king. Breakfast was not great and rooms smelled a bit musty.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel overall was nice

The smell of sewer in the hallway on the third floor when we ventured out on Saturday morning. The breakfast was not appetizing and the scrambled egg mix had what looked like green mold in it. We couldn't eat it and opted not to eat breakfast at the hotel the second morning.

Chris and Kevin of the night crew were so helpful. We'd had a difficult trip and they were just good people. We loved the room. It smelled good everywhere. And housekeeping was efficient but also personable.

The door to the bathroom was a bit awkward but unless it was a good in to the wall kind, it was not fixable. So we managed just find

The breakfast was fine. They could place a garbage receptacle in the area where the food is served. The only one was closer to the front door in reception and when you have kids with you it is harder when trying to dispose of their trash and your own as well.

unfortunately on our first night there a rain shower shortened the kids time in the pool, so the next night at about 7pm we were going to try again to play in the pool, but it was closed. We were told it had to be shocked for a period of 9 hours after the previous night's rain and would not reopen until 9pm that night. so that means the maintenance on the pool didn't start until late that morning. Bad timing.

Location was great for accessing the University and offered convenient access to the town. Breakfast sausage links were good.

Breakfast. Biscuits were hard; gravy was thin and runny; eggs were powdered; coffee was not good. Also, when we checked in (4:00pm) the common areas had not been cleaned.
