Holiday Inn Express Richmond-Mechanicsville, an IHG Hotel

Good location when Traveling Hwy 95. Easy on and off and close to the 295 drive around for Richmond. (best way around). Gas, Food, Store, selection is good on this exit. The Rooms are nicer than most. When Driving the Hwy 95 corridor the best gas prices will be found at the Warrenton rd exit off 95. The congestion is alway heavy passing by Fredericksburg. I suggest passing this area well before or after any daily commuter traffic times.

I have only stayed at this location once and could not possibly give a comment on this area. It was an in and out stay as I was passing through.

Bed was comfortable. Pillows were plentiful and varied in firmness. Furnishings were new. TV was big. Mini fridge in room with small microwave. Water pressure was great. AC/Heat unit was quiet. Very close to IHop and several other restaurants.

The Japanese beetles that look like lady bugs were invading the room. Killed 3, counted 6 more, gave up and went to bed. The room showed some wear and tear. Crack in the roof near shower, stains on the tub floor, and stains in the toilet from a "snake" being used on it.

beds were comfy, morning breakfast was ok. the food was a little hard but they have “grabngo” bags to take some pastries with you.

Besides the mold, it was clean, safe, and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Room had little issues. There was mold on the ceiling, the bathroom vent did not work, so the steam caused the door to have streaks of condensation running to the floor making a puddle. The shower head was a pain to switch on and I had to sit fiddling with it for at least 10 minutes each time I wanted to shower. The heat was controlled by a wall thermostat, that had dead batteries I had to ask the front desk to replace multiple times, and finally, breakfast was a boring affair of just a muffin and granola bar and you had to ask the desk for a drink.

Breakfast was ok, nothing different from other hotels. Staff at the front desk and in the kitchen were friendly and made us feel welcome.

Fan in the bathroom is loud and if you have the light on the fan is automatically on.

The staff and location were great! Breakfast and everything else was great.

The carpet and tile all over were a type that held onto stains and construction residues... In lobby, hallways and in room. The only thing that bugged me about my extended stay was constantly dirty floors. Everything else was clean and tidy.

Breakfast was more than expected. Staff was quite friendly and seemingly wanted to make sure you were comfortable. Shower was great!! Higher toilet would have been more welcoming 😊.

The queen bed and suite were both comfortable and spacious! The continental breakfast was also nice.

We were "upgraded" to a suite that had a queen sofa bed that was NOT made up for us until we asked for the staff to prepare the bed. It was also right next to elevators, which were noisy. There was no answer when calling front desk There was no conditioner.

It was great, the pillows and bed were so comfy! If I travel that way again, I would stay there.

The only thing was, there was a used soap left over in the bathroom and I found an open yogurt in the mini fridge.

We loved restaraunts and stores nearby. Plenty of places to gas up and easy access too the venue we were attending. Just easy access to everything we need ed. Quiet and peaceful surrounding. Will staY here again!!! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful from check in to check out!!!
