Quirk Hotel Richmond

Nicely decorated lobby area. Our room wasn’t what we expected. Sheets were dirty on one bed, floor was nasty in some areas…. just expected much higher standard of cleanliness for the price. I can say kudos to the valet staff!! They were super friendly and most helpful

No real restaurant on premises that served breakfast and other food items. The room could have been a lot cleaner. We should’ve have requested to be moved. This is a artsy deco hotel but not as upscale as it’s advertised to be and definitely lacking on cleanliness in guest rooms.. I have pictures of the nasty sheets, we thought were bed bugs or droppings . Only 2 towels in the bathroom which also were dingy.

Quirk is an unique hotel with every nook and cranny filled with local art. The rooftop and lobby bars offer excellent cocktails and food. The place is full of light and high ceilings. I can only imagine what the building looked like as a department store. I am so happy they kept some of the original features (i.e. above the exit door the name of the street. something you see in the department stores in NYC).

There is nothing I did not like. It's a very quaint and quirky place. Just a warning. My son went to VCU in Richmond, therefore I know the city. Travelers unfamiliar with the area should not expect to go for a long walk without someone asking for money.

The hotel was really nice - swanky and modern amidst the old stature of the building - having a pet allowed was why i chose this place - our dog needed to go to the Bush Neuro Vet on upper Broad street so this location was good. The mattress was very comfortable. The small fridge was nice, wifi, and flat screen tv - all very nice. The front desk staff was super friendly and the valet service was prompt.

I had a pet - we appreciated that it was pet friendly - but there is absolutely no green space in the vicinity for a dog to go the bathroom - we found Monroe Park about a mile away and walked there - but that was a lot. The room was nice - mostly very clean - there were a few very long curly hairs in the bathroom shower that the cleaner missed. The pillows were way too soft - needed 4 of them to get comfortable.

Beautiful hotel in a great location, delicious menu and friendly staff.

Hardwood floors don’t work in a hotel (or any space you have to share with strangers, really). You can hear every little creak, whisper, moan… it was hard to fall asleep even with the provided white noise machine. Some plush wall to wall carpeting would make this a five star property.

Whimsical lobby decor, huge windows with dark sheer curtain and high ceilings in room, rooftop bar, close to restaurants, bus line, bars.

Not easy to park in area nor find where to pay to park at hotel. We walked over from a couple blocks away. It was cheaper then your $28.

Staff at bar area very friendly and service oriented The 2 female Batista's the morning I checked out were not interested or friendly, Room was nice and comfortable

TV didn't work at all, I turned it on to watch the news but didn't have time to call down to fix it as I was checking out early Bummer!!!

We stay at the Quirk twice a year, and always enjoy our stay. Love that they are so pet friendly. The restaurant and bar downstairs has an upscale but casualness that I always enjoy from a small boutique hotel.

For a hotel this large, it shoud have more breakfast items rather than just a few sandwiches.

Very expensive, plus expensive parking for the rental car.

Loved the hotel! Great stay! Stayed during UVA parents weekend! Outrageous hotel costs all over town!!!! Wish this could change during these busy college times!
