We had a double room for my mother and a suite for us. We were there for our daughter's graduation from VCU. We were able to control the temp, the room was palatial and very comfortable for an evening spent chatting on the couches. The bed and linens were fresh and very comfy.

My mom's room had several problems - she could not control the heat, the fridge was making noises, the TV had no sound and there was a booming air bubble when she took a shower. When presented with these issues, the front desk said "sorry" - this was a 250+ room - shouldn've been offered a discount or something because she did not sleep most of the night due to the heat and noise.

Front desk staff were always cheerful and helpful answering questions. They even helped me successfully carry out a surprise since (my husband) likes to know "all the details". The beautiful 1800's townhouse row was saved and cleverly turned into individual hotel rooms by adding a colonial styled rear porch with bathrooms attached to the original dwelling. These rooms are quiet (solid brick construction) and large (ours was approx. 16ftx16 ft with high ceilings). Ours included the original fireplace, now only decorative. The office is on the side of the building, so don't miss the beautiful front of these matching Greek revival town homes. We met a number of travelers who didn't know about the front facade. Tip: Parking was available on the next block with very reasonable rates. If you choose the 24 hour ticket, you post it on your dash and have in and out privileges.

We spent a lot of time researching ahead of time where to park but once there, it was simple. There is a 30 minute or so free parking on the street for loading/unloading.

The location was good, and I felt like the place had a “good vibe”. The people were all very friendly and welcoming.

The rooms were comfy yet completely lacking in amenities except for the basic. I would have liked to at least have a bottled water to go with my Keurig and plastic cups. Also, have a person to answer the phone. I was driving around aimlessly trying to find parking while a recording told me a bunch of stuff I didn’t need to know. Upon parking and check in it was pretty clear that the people on duty had ample time to answer the phone.

Very happy and welcoming staff at reception. They were both helpful and informative and probably underrate the hotel.

Internet Wi-Fi was iffy in the room. Worked from the bed but not from the sitting area which was very annoying. A pity that the restaurant was not open on the day we were there. More importantly, no breakfast service of any sort. ie coffee or muffins which would have been nice even if the restaurant was closed.

Nice spacious room, big comfy bed. A welcome change from the cookie cutter hotel chains. Felt like home, but more relaxing. Having full control of the HVAC in my room was a welcome bonus. I have stayed in several rooms at several different floors on this property. Every one was unique and charming in its own way.

Nothing. It was, as always, an excellent experience. My go-to crash pad when visiting my favorite city. I honestly can’t think of an improvement. I love this place.

The room was located downtown Richmond in a block of converted row houses. I loved the historical aspect, walking in the footsteps f Edgar Allen Poe, the plush comfortable beds, and the sweet cat that loves to visit. The hotel is beautiful, with antique furnishings, old fireplaces in rooms, and a genteel brick and wrought iron facade. Additionally, the young lady at reception was very helpful and kind. I come to Richmond often to see family. The Linden Row Inn will probably be my new home there.

I could not think of anything I didn't like. My daughter and I went for a funeral and really enjoyed staying at Linden Row. The only thing that may be a tiny negative was getting a measly $15 parking citation for forgetting to get a ticket out of the parking lot machine from the public parking garage used by the hotel. However, that has nothing to do with the outstanding service and facilities at the hotel.

The bed and the pillows were super comfy. The room was spacious and charming with an inactive fireplace and a bay window. The shower was pretty good with plenty of hot water and average water pressure. The restaurant Parterre was delicious with good service.

This is a big wedding destination. There were wedding receptions both Friday and Saturday night. So there was some noise from that although they seemed to shut things down by 11 and everything was quiet for the rest of the night.

This is a very historic property in Richmond, so it carried quite a bit of charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was large and had unique character. You could almost imagine Edgar Allen Poe walking around the quarters.

While understandable for the age of the place, the odd split-level format was a little difficult for carrying luggage in and out of.

The staff was so friendly! They upgraded our room to a king for free for our anniversary. They have a lobby cat named Annabelle who is just sweet as can be so extra bonus points for her! The location is super central to restaurants, museums, the library, and parking. It was a historic and comfy stay and I highly recommend it.

There is no maid service unless you request it but that's not a deal breaker.

Everything was great. Some services were curtailed due to COVID and there were not too many restaurants nearby that had outdoor seating. Without a car, this was a bit difficult but not the hotel's fault. Good location for walking and excellent museums and historical sights. In particular, nearby are the wonderful Black History Museum and Cultgural Center of Virginia and the Maggie Walker National Historical Site. Staff of LInden Row Inn were especially helpful and friendly as were the staff of the the Parterre Restaurant (on site). Food there is wonderful and reasonably priced. Lovely outdoor seating.

Our rooms were in buildings behind the lovely "row" rooms of the hotel and not as nice but perhaps we were put there so the two rooms we needed were close together.
