Candlewood Suites Richmond Airport, an IHG Hotel

The room was great, nice bed and pillows and very nice fridge with ice maker was a big bonus along with full kitchen including chins, glasses of varying sizes and enough utensils to cook what you like. Quiet was great as well! Restful as it should be.

No breakfast. No trash collection in room. (I suppose I should have placed it outside the door) Wi-Fi was not operable and no computer for personal use. Snack bar/room woefully under stocked. No soda machines. Shower curtain too small for shower creating a flood on first night but, I handled it.

Everything! Clean, quiet, nice decor, plenty of towels and bath products, super nice little kitchenette with supplies. I was particularly touched by the woman who checked us in on February 3rd. She went out of her way to offer us condolences on the passing of my youngest brother and offered her prayers for comfort to our family at his services on Saturday. I wish I remembered her name.

Refrigerator ice maker was a bit noisy so we turned it off at night. Not one other problem!

They have renovated and I love the new modern look! Our room was impeccably clean, however, because of the times we are in of course I sanitized again and cleaned the bathroom but I was truly impressed! Also, the front desk staff was extremely welcoming and helpful!

Everything was great if I had anything I would say I am just not a shower tub combo person I would rather a glass shower but again the bathroom and suite was just impressively clean!

The room! It was very quiet, spacious and had a nice kitchen. The bed was very comfortable as well.

The reception area was small and the coffee (room and lobby) was really bad. The rooms did not have items like shampoo, good coffee and creamers… Just a fee minor touches would have made the hotel a lot nicer.

Front desk personnel was very accommodating and pleasant. Had a problem logging into hotel's WIFI. Front desk receptionist was kind enough to come from behind the desk, and she did it for me. Also, was in Richmond because my sister was having heart surgery, Needed a place to stay, while waiting for call from her surgeon. Front desk clerk was authorized to extend my stay 1 hour past 11:00 check out. 2 hour extension would have been better; however, I was appreciative of the 1 hour. Loved the kitchenette, dishwasher, glassware, utensils and even the salt and pepper! (I'm a salt addict...not a sweet addict, so yep...a salt addict!) :-)

One of my habits when I check into a facility is to look under bed for 'dead bodies,' (Too much tv!) ;-) I did find popcorn and reported that to front desk.

We didn't expect the room to be so nice. Next time we will book it for a longer stay. We got so much for our money. Having the larger refrigerator allowed us to bring more food back to the room wen we got back from the cookout we attended.

There was no restaurants or fast food one could walk too. So far off the main highway. Couldn't get a chair for the shower even though I let them know I would appreciate having one when I made my reservation. Couldn't shower without my husband helping me to do so.

The room was very clean, bed was so comfortable and central located to restaurant, entertainment and the highway. would recommend to my family and friends to stay.

Trees surrounding the property. Free laundry. Good location.

Side door didnt close all the way. Smokers piled up around this entrance.

Very Clean big and the front desk person was very nice and helpful .

on booking I thought I paid for a handicap room in which it did not have a chair in the tub in which that’s false on booking part false advertisement

I loved the friendly staff and the size of the rooms was wonderful. My sister travelled with our two small dogs and we were made to feel very welcome, which was important to us!

The bathtub area was not clean, there was mold on the surround shelf and corners of walls in bathtub.
