Comfort Suites Suffolk – Chesapeake

I loved almost everything about this hotel. I was impressed and so was my son who accompanied me. It was clean, comfortable and ALL of the staff was friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the breakfast! It's been rather rough for us lately, so this was our "getaway" so to speak, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I booked online, so I knew exactly what I would pay, however; when we got there to check in there was a $100 incident deposit fee, which was a shock for me. Thank God I had the money. I'm on a budget just like everyone else right now, and somehow I feel that should be in bold letters somewhere so you're prepared.

I liked the spacious rooms and that the mini fridge also had a freezer. That was a nice surprise. The couch was comfortable and I loved the extra sink. The staff was courteous and helped with any extras I needed.

The only negative for me ass that the bed in my room was a bit broken. It kind of slanted to the one side and I could feel some springs. I would have asked for another room but I had a sick child when I arrived. She spiked a fever on the drive down. We drove a long way to visit her fathers family. I'll bet they would have put us in another room had I asked but I'd already unpacked our things and with a sick child I wasn't up for moving everything.

It was a wonderful stay! I experienced something I had never experienced prior to booking the reservation at the Comfort Suites. I booked a night’s stay at first at the Quality Inn in Chesapeake for the same night before I made this reservation at the Comfort Suites. Upon arriving at the Quality Inn, it was night and there was a person sitting on the steps that looked homeless and the front desk person locked the front entrance door and told me that I had to go to a drive thru looking window to be assisted. I felt so unsafe on the premises, so I left there and booked the night stay at Comfort Suites in Sullfolk. Thank you Comfort Suites for a wonderful night stay and a place for everyone to feel safe!

There was nothing I didn’t like at the Comfort Suites after having that bad experience hours before at the Quality Inn in Chesapeake.

Breakfast should have been better. No napkins and when staff were asked to get some they disappeared. did not keep the area clean or items full and there were more than 15 people there to get breakfast so some didn't get anything. Ran out of toilet paper in room. Each room should always have a new roll of toilet paper put at start of every stay.

The breakfast options were good. The location was in a quiet area with a country feel.

The curved shower curtain rod was missing a screw from each end holder and rotated down causing the curtain to not close on either end causing water to puddle onto the floor. A closet door handle pulled off when opening the closet.

Location was awesome! Close to everything we were here for... Nice and spacious! Clean and comfy.

The cleaning staff was ready to clean before we were ready to check out. Their communication with the front desk was poor...

Breakfast was good. The variety was good but, breakfast seemed to end early - especially for a Sunday or weekend day. Had to rush down before 9 to get breakfast. And, the ocation was good for the purpose of our trip.

Location to our family’s home, cleanliness, free breakfast option, and staff.

property is slightly older so there are needs for renovations which the hotel is working on. I hope the elevators will be apart of the renovation plans because one sounds very scary as it's coming to a stop.

The property was a little off the beaten path which was very nice ...anything you might have needed food ...shopping ...site seeing was all within 5-30minutes away ...Josh at the front desk along with all the staff was wonderful ..

Parking ....There did not seem to be enough spaces for all the vehicle's that stayed at the property

The location was great, just a few minutes from major highways. The hotel was clean and well-maintained. The room was quiet and spacious. The desk clerks were helpful and friendly, and the cleaning staff were friendly too. We had a good place to park the car, and luggage carts were available.

Due to Covid, the breakfast was quite limited. (But that's not the Hotel's fault.) The elevators were very slow. Also (probably) due to Covid, there wasn't any room cleaning on the weekend. (probably short-staffed)
