Hilton Garden Inn Chesapeake/Suffolk

The room was very clean! I loved that the checkout time was noon. We were coming off a long weekend of not great sleep and I needed a good rest before the long ride back home. The staff was very nice, they gave us free waters twice. Once checking in and once checking out. I was not up in time for breakfast so I can't comment on that but I'm sure the did a good one. It was not included with the price of the hotel stay though. They also let me have a late checkout by 30 mins so I could get everything together to get back on the road for a solid 6 hour drive home.

The bed was a bit hard but I put our bedding over the bedding that was already on the bed and it was much better. Also the ice machines were all out of ice by the time we checked out.

As my family and I were staying a few days due renovations on our home, this hotel was down the street from us and very convenient. It was adequately cleaned, staff were professional, and we enjoyed our short stay. I was certainly delighted to have received breakfast vouchers and breakfast was fantastic; not just continental stuff, real restaurant-type service.

the location of the hotel was in a convenient area, near restaurants and shopping areas. Fitness room was good, water bottles were stocked every time I visited the fitness room.

Wish the attached restaurant was available for dinner along with breakfast.

The dining area was clean and practiced the social distancing. The waitress was amazing, she handled the orders, the handling of payments, she provided excellent customer service. Let’s not forget about the Chef, he sent out some excellent food. Everything we ordered was delicious. He makes some of the BEST Omelets. With the amount of people in the dining area, they work greatly together.

The only thing I didn’t like are the individuals who took upon themselves to smoke. The facility is a Non-Smoking facility and individuals smoked Weed & Cigarettes which came through vents into our room. We had to change rooms due to this situation. Individuals should be held accountable. And I understand It’s hard, but it’s a inconvenience to the other guest.

Convenient location, clean, safe, good value, and very friendly staff.

The property was fine. There was rust on the bathroom light fixtures and bathroom does not have an exhaust fan. Neither affected my stay, but might want to address.

The cleanliness of the hotel and how hospitable the staff was!

I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast but based on the extra amount I paid to have breakfast I should’ve had access to the everything I that was available and not just what was on the paper…🤷🏾‍♂️

Stay was good overall

Only thing is I went through booking to book my room and I didn’t receive the room I reserved and paid for. After getting to my room I called the front desk to ask about the difference in the room look and price he told me the room I had reserve was out of order and if I wanted to change it I would have to go through booking again which seem like I should’ve just been accommodated for the mistake on the hotel end because he didn’t mention the out of order part at check in, I had to get to my room and see the difference and call about it. I actually would have went the cheaper route if I had known it was out of service. Which was a $84 double bed suite for me and my family instead of what I didn’t reserve for $102 before tax.

The staff…I believe her name was Kim. I called the front desk, ask for a new TV remote, she stated to come to the front desk to get a new one. The replacement remote didn’t work also, so Kim moved us to a new room, problem solved!!!

The room was prepped with 3 towels, but only 2 wash clothes, that doesn’t add up.

Excellent choices, staff server was excellent as well, menu options great

Only issue was overstuffed bins next to coffee table as staff appeared to ignore as they were almost overflowing with used items

Location is excellent. It's near everything. Bed was comfy and the staff was very kind. The lady that did the breakfast was the BEST! She was quick and moved swiftly but still checked on everybody asking was everything ok or did we need anything else. When we come to this area next time, we will very likely stay here again.

Ice machine was down on our floor so we had to go to the 2nd or 5th floor to get ice.
