Ballard Inn

We really enjoyed this facility. You must bear in mind it is an old building in a funky part of town. There is no breakfast but as we don't eat breakfast this is not a loss; there was good local coffee available and that is all we asked for. There are several places nearby serving coffee and pastries if you need that. The room was clean and comfortable and appears to have been recently renovated. The location suited us as we wanted to attend an event nearby. The street has an urban ambiance without the "issues" that plague a downtown location.

We felt we had a mini vacation in Europe for one night ,lovely hotel , room and facilities.Bed and pillows super comfortable.A myriad channels on the cable TV, mini fridge and coffee/tea apparatus. Perfect for a "stay cation" like us or visitors to Seattle .From the doorstep you have a choice of great cafes,brew pubs and live music [We went to the Tractor Tavern] independent stores and a charming street.A huge plus was access to the Olympic Athletic Club across the street ,the wonderful and helpful staff at the Ballard Inn will book for you in advance for use of the pool or classes.Highly recommended.

Everything was great

Loved the historical aspect! Cant express that part enough. The room was perfect size with bathroom included. The king bed was huge and super comfy. Loved all the details that made it feel historical

The parking was odd as you have to check in at the Ballard Hotel and walk over to the building next door to get to your room, which I didnt mind, except it was close to midnight. Thankfully the amazing staff walked me over to the other building. The hair dryer blew out quite the disturbing odor upon use.

This place is nothing much, but I'm giving it a 9 nevertheless. Why? The staff were wonderful, and the location was ideal. I had a couple of emergencies -- one with my health, the other with my rental car -- while there, and the hotel concierge was extremely kind and helpful.

Wow! What a classy place. Let's just say I never would have associated a sense of luxury with any place that indicated that it also had "shared bathrooms." Well, the Ballard Inn shows how you can be classy while offering shared bathrooms that are kept exceptionally clean. I felt as though I had the Inn to myself and could only tell others were there by the used towels in the clearly marked collection bin in the bathroom. The decor is tasteful and well executed and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Overall an unexpected high quality stay for a budget price.

I have no complaints. It is clear that Management clearly pays attention to the finer details and that even at a budget price, customer service is a priority.

Loved the location and feel of this property. The hotel sits right on Ballard with a plethora of restaurants and shops right outside the door. It’s also home to a Sunday farmers market that was a blast to walk through. Striking distance to the locks and many other places, especially with a electric bike/scooter. Staff was very friendly and they take cleanliness seriously. This property is residence-hall-style where guests share a bathroom. The staff was on top of cleaning and seemed like they were checking on the bathrooms almost every hour or so. I never once went into a mess. The area can be a little noisy, but ear plugs are provided. They did not refill water bottles with room cleaning and I found the electric outlets to be troublesome (not enough power and then not able to withstand the pad charger types. Overheats), but I made them aware of the issue and it could have only been that room. Overall great place to stay if you’re looking to get out and about and not stick to your hotel room. They provide the comfortable, decent quality necessities and they do it well, but that’s about what you can expect.

Ballard Inn is brilliant stay! The staff at check in was friendly and helpful. The hotel has lots of old charm. Room was very clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom was spotless and only a few steps from the room. (robes included) Location is in the heart of Ballard, with so many restaurants, bars, shops...(check out the Scandinavian Museum, short walk) Parking garage for hotel was one block away.

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night. The noise from people on the street coming from the bars was a bit loud and entertaining. The hotel provided ear plugs, which we didn't use. (try to get a room on the second floor)

the location was amazing. lots of cute restaurants, bars and cafes around. beautiful historic decor. access to a great gym across the street with hot tub, 2 swimming pools and sauna.

rooms are small, shared bathrooms (though this was not inconvenient at all) and clearly hear all passers by from the street in the first floor rooms.

such a sweet Inn this was, it was very clean considering there was a shared washroom. The bed was very comfortable too.

it was quite loud outside but they have provided me with ear plugs.

SO beautiful and charming. I loved the history and the quaintness of it.

Booking advertised that it had an airport shuttle. It does not. You pay $75 one way with a Towncar company. Very good service, but not as advertised and my inexpensive hotel became expensive due to those fees.
