Hyatt House Seattle Downtown

Loved the breakfast experience the most. Beds were good. Hotel was very near the monorail which takes you to Westgate in downtown where you can ride the light rail to other places.

The carpet had seen better days. Wish there was more space to hang our jackets and towels. The detergent box in the dishwasher had a chip and wouldnt close. We were offered a room change but we just unpacked everything at that point and were dead tired from our long-haul travel. we used the provided electric tape as a workaround but i dont think it worked when wet.

The front staff was wonderful. I appreciated the helpful information & answers they gave me to any questions I had. Each person I encountered was very friendly & professional. I felt valued & welcome.

I may have missed the info (if it was even provided by Booking.com) about the refindable $50 "EACH night" of our stay. The "Each night" was a surprise, as I was easily prepared for a one-time deposit, but each night in the moment was nearly a hardship on what we'd been able to budget for trip expenses. I wish this policy could be revisited since my experience with other places has it for a set amount (not per night).

Great location. It was right across from the space needle and everything else in the plaza. Clean and had a classy feel. It also isn’t too far from the piers. We opted for the scooters to go up and down the hills to get there. They were pretty steep and with the rain made the travel a little sketchy. Would probably take an Uber down to the piers next trip. Also for all those overly dramatic reviews of the cracked out homeless people, ignore them! This is a really clean big city. You see maybe a handful near the main attractions, so there isn’t much to worry about there.

There were only two elevators on the property. One of them led to the parking garage and also shared the workers rooms (cleaning, maintenance, supplies, etc.) this elevator was kind of annoying if you needed it to get you to or from the parking garage. The longest wait for it to come get us out of the garage was about 10 minutes. The blinds were electric and the button did not work so they were stuck almost closed. There was about a 3 inch gap at the bottom that was annoying to sleep with.

We were moved from our room late at night because the toilet was not functioning properly. We were given a fantastic room. The breakfasts were fantastic. There was always filled containers with hot food.

I was very upset when I called within hours of check out to claim I had forgotten two dresses. I told the women on the phone where I left the dresses and a description of each. She said I had to fill out a form which I did. I still have not received confirmation that they have the dresses. There is no way that they could not find them. It really spoiled my whole vacation. One dress I have not even had a chance to wear.

This was the only hotel I could find for a decent price we’re i could bring 2 small dogs. I was so happy i came upon this hotel. Our room faced the space needle and it was a great layout for the amount of people. You only get two beds and 1 small couch for 5 people. The room is soooo big it doesn’t feel crowded. There is great public transportation. Parking is expensive at $45 a night but we did great with street parking within walking distance. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was actually really good.

The couch was way to small to sleep one person. This room is for 4 people max. Lucky our 5th person was a tween that could fit in the couch.

We had some issues with our room type on the night we arrived, but Danni, the on-site supervisor, and Brennan, the general manager, went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay and enjoy our time at Hyatt House. Their professionalism made a not-so-ideal room situation so much better, allowing us to enjoy our stay. We were not able to visit the Space Needle and the downtown area as planned in time, but if we were in the area next time we would definitely stay with Hyatt House.

Nothing was really off at all during our stay.

I spent two nights at this hotel under different reservations of two different room types. The second night however, my room was fabulous, very comfortable (King studio) and had wonderful views of the Space Needle. Breakfast was excellent both days.

I spent two nights at this hotel under different reservations of two different room types. The room I got for the first night (King suite) was a corner room. Really weird uncomfortable setting of the room with all of the windows blocked by either the monorail on one side and thick tree top on the other. Luckily the receptionist was able to change it for me for a better room setting. However, now I was facing the huge and very loud construction site on 5th. Not a fun experience.

The room amazingly quiet and clean, the staff very kind, the breakfast has variety and healthy choices, great and better than this kind of stays. The location is excellent, just right across de street from the needle, so we could go twice and pass it every day. We had one suite with no view at all. But it did not matter to us since the quiet was preferable. And the needle space was our view every morning during breakfast.

Very convenient -- just across the street from the Pacific Science Center and the attractions there. Within walking distance for a number of other venues and a short drive to Pike Place market, etc. Breakfast each morning was exceptional, with varying choices of main protein and featured items. Room was clean and quiet, and bed was super-comfortable. Blackout curtains were a nice touch. Huge walk-in shower was amazing!

Parking cost was kind of high at $45 a day.
