This booking was for a private room with attached bathroom. The room was a good size for two, with a toilet in an attached room and separate shower in another, which was really nice to have. A big plus as well was the number of hooks in the toilet and shower rooms. The bed was comfortable, shower amenities were acceptable. Location was superb, right within the walls of the old town and a 10-minute walk to every part of the old town, yet also not far from Rue Saint Jean with many specialty shops and restaurants (at least a 10-minute walk). Appreciate the 'free' walking tour as well from the hostel with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Key card access restricting access to most of the hostel was a reassuring security feature. The closest, recommended parking garage was about a 5-minute walk, relatively close for being in the old town with limited parking. Overall, excellent value-for-money.

Sheets and towels were a little worn and some looked like it could do with more washing, on top of stains that were probably not removable with washing. While having a separate shower room was great, the shower stall was really tight and a larger person would not fit. The recommended parking garage filled up one time and we had to find another. It would be great if the hostel recommended a few different garages for parking. The room was not very soundproof from noises and sounds from people passing in the hallway outside. It would have been better with more power points for charging.

The price is reasonable. The staff is friendly. The guided tour is great. You should never miss it! Great location and very convenient! A lot of good memories here!

The room is not clean enough. A lot of women hair on the floor. There are stains on the bed sheets. The blanket is dirty. I even wonder whether the room is cleaned before I checked in. The room temperature should be set higher. It's always a little cold in the room. But the staff is nice and help raise temperature as requested. Overall, it's a room of affordable price for young people.

Large public space. There are many entertainment facilities (billiards ball, darts, paid-table football), TV room, study room. And a bar and bartender. Big kitchen and fridges. There is free walking tour for exploring old Quebec everyday!

I have traveled to many cities and stayed in many hotels. A hotel would be the best if it had different group activities every day or occasionally. There are no larger bowls in the kitchen, so some people use the small pot as a bowl after cooking instant noodles. This also results in a shortage of small pots, and some people who need to use small pots need to wait until they have finished eating.

Very restful, CLEAN AND ORDERLY environment to refuge against cold and dreary weather. A chance meeting with very convivial room mates lead to discussion and exchange of a variety of experiences shared as travellers, and students of life. For me a remarkable stay after so long being away from solo travel. Thank you for providing the means of such an adventure.

The location was excellent, walking distance to almost everything in Old Quebec. There was public underground parking for $20 per day within a five minute walk of the hostel. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms, while they did not have air conditioning, were well laid out and enough storage space and room for the 6 people in the room. There was no street noise in my location. Breakfast was good - fresh fruit, bagels and bread; coffee and real juice. It was a busy weekend, so on Sunday they ran out of cream cheese for the bagels but that was not a big issue. Fresh boiled eggs and regular eggs that one could cook for oneself in the kitchen. I would definitely stay there again!

I liked everything about the location and the facilities. No complaints whatsoever!

The location is perfect and within walking distance of the train, bus and old city sights. The 8 bed dorm is spacious so if it’s full you’re not in each others way Bathrooms were clean and there’s lots of them Kitchen is well equipped and breakfast is decent Staff are friendly

Have to go all the way downstairs to the kitchen to fill a water bottle Beds are plastic covered with only a sheet on top that won’t stay on and makes you sweat To sign up for the walking tour you choose French or English but one guide does both. Means a lot of standing around. There are other tours that are better

it’s a very nice house in the middle of old Quebec. We‘ve been traveling in a group of 3 so we got a private room with a shared bathroom, everything was fine! The kitchen has lots of kitchen supplies and tools which was great for cooking. I‘d definitely go back

Great location in the old part of Quebec City, about 15 minute walk from the Gare du Palais train station and close to the major attractions (15 minutes to Citadelle du Quebec), 15 minutes walk to Château Frontenac). The hostel offered free tours (tip recommended) of Quebec City around 11AM with an officially certified tourist guide who was quite knowledgeable and informative. There was some construction, but the rooms appeared to be renovated and were very clean and quiet. Coin operated laundry machines are available, you can buy detergent at the front desk. Staff are friendly, especially if you know some basic French phrases.

The breakfast was very basic - bread, peanut butter, some fruit, instant oatmeal. The sink where you have to get utensils and wash them is far from the breakfast area in the kitchen. Sometimes only 1 person was working at the front desk, so you might need to wait a bit.

This hostel is in a fantastic location right in the heart of QC and just steps away from many landmarks, great restaurants, and nightlife. The staff is kind and is always willing to help.

Like many hostels in Quebec and Montreal, you can't control the temperature of your room--the front desk does. Given that it's winter, I had to call to have the temperature adjusted multiple times which I found to be a hassle and at times, frustrating. Depending on where your room is located, the shared bathroom may not be close. It's an older building with multiple flights of stairs--they have an elevator, but guests are not allowed to use it.

Great location, I loved free breakfast, always enough of everything, good variety. Kitchen amazing! Tons of fridge and storage space if someone is planning to cook, 8 stoves, everything is so well planned and designed for convenience! Showers are good! With 4!! Hooks inside to hang your stuff😲🥳 bartender Natasha is very nice and easy to talk, drinks are good, and the price is surprisingly low😊 charging stations by the bed are very convenient, and private ligt is a great idea.

The building is a bit old so I could hear people walking and talking at night, but it didn’t bother me since I sleep well anywhere.
