It was nice room, good comfy beds, nice touch with the bathrobes. We loved the digital check in and check out as we were driving from Sydney to Ballina after work. Finding an accommodation that can accept arrival past midnight really helps. Thank you for the bath tub. I had a nice bath with bubbles following day. Great start of the day with delicious breakfast

We were there as a pass through we hoped to come back again and able to enjoy the surroundings of Ballina. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the hotel outdoor area with nice garden Can't fault the hotel We feel guilty for staying there too short haha

The room was big and had everything we needed. We appreciated the fresh milk in the fridge to make tea/coffee, also the face cloths and dressing gowns. The bed was super-comfy and the continental breakfast was a nice surprise (we thought we'd booked room only!)

Check in wasn't particularly smooth as we didn't receive the text message confirming the access code to get into the hotel. We had to call the emergency contact number, after which everything got sorted very quickly, but it was slightly disconcerting when we first arrived and found we couldn't get in. There is no lift, so make sure you are able to carry your luggage up and down stairs. This wasn't a problem for us (in our 50's and reasonably fit), but may be a problem for those who are less mobile.

The property was beautifully renovated, with high quality furniture and finishings, inside and out, including a fabulous paved area leading to the luxurious pool. I stayed in a king room with a balcony and full bathroom, which included a day bed and sitting area, as well as a table and chairs on the balcony. There was an espresso pod coffee machine as well as the standard kettle (though the Smeg kettle was above standard), as well as a high quality granola/muesli and yoghurt in-room breakfast option.The owners were so friendly and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the River St restaurants and is a fabulous place to stay.

Ballina Manor is a beautiful small hotel that permits one night stays. Warm friendly owner, very clean, and with comfortable beds. We appreciated the thoughtful touches of breakfast provisions including a Nespresso machine and fresh milk. It is a short walk or drive to the Main Street. Excellent value accommodation.

Nothing to dislike! Tip: There is a staircase so if you have mobility issues, request a room on the ground floor.

Ballina Manor was by far the best accomodation we have experienced for a long time and we are very big travellers. The whole property with its history, exceptional restoration and all round facilities are A1. Location is perfect for restaurants in town or a beach holiday. I asked the staff about the history and was taken on a journey back in time with plans of the original layout of the building and how Ballina Manor was restored by heritage builders to the beautiful property it is today. We were on a short road trip from Brisbane and came from Tenterfield. The nightly rate was only marginally higher than basic Motels in Warwick and Tenterfield. It is so nice to experience this level of luxury on holidays, we will be back.

There is nothing to dislike.

Loved the warm welcoming feeling I had when I came through the front door. Arriving after dark and easily entering on my own with the code that was sent to me immediately upon booking. A fresh fruit bowl, softly scented hallways and this grand guesthouse is just so beautifully decorated with all the heritage charms. I was needing a comfy bed and I got that with all the trims and could soak in a deep hot bath. Bliss ! I enjoy coffee and local produce, having a coffee pod machine was wonderful and local ' Brookfarm' muesli was a lovely touch with lovely fresh milk & yoghurt. I love the quiet location, I can walk easily up town and to the farmers markets. Ballina Manor provided everything I was looking for on my trip, a private, quiet, comfy place to rest and recharge. I will definitely return with family next trip.

cannot fault this property. To experience the history of this building brought us joy. The owners attention to detail ensured we had comfort and convenience. The addition of breakfast in the room was unexpected but very welcome as we were able to sit out on the balcony and enjoy. We were contacted to advise we could book in much earlier. We felt valued as guests and our host was extremely helpful. Thankyou Gersh we will be back and have already let friends know about our wonderful experience.

Everything was wonderful.

The hotel is a beautiful old manor house with very large beautiful rooms, lovely beds and furniture. It is in a nice quiet area but a short walk to the main shops and restaurants. The grounds are great with a pool and sitting areas outside and under a big verandah. There was a very nice light breakfast provided as well.

That I couldn't stay longer because I had to head home.

The staff were really wonderful during our visit. Our room had a great view, was large and decor was first class. Refurbishment of the lovely old private girls boarding school was very sympathetic. Best value for money, stylish hotel accommodation between Salt Mantra, Kingscliffe and Ballina which includes Byron Bay.

Would have been good for security to be able to open the window for ventilation without having to open full height french doors opening onto common balcony; though aircon is being installed and ceiling fans kept temperatures comfortable,
