Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! The free parking was a great bonus, and there was a grocery store and a local attraction nearby, which we could easily reach by walking along a pleasant road. The breakfast was fantastic — delicious and with plenty of variety. The hotel staff were very friendly, always ready to help and provide useful advice. The kitchen was convenient, and we happily used the fridge and all the necessary utensils. We stayed on the ground floor, and we couldn’t hear any noise from the neighbors — either the soundproofing was excellent, or the neighbors were very quiet. Either way, the atmosphere was peaceful and comfortable. We’ll definitely come back here again!

Kitchen was humongous and kept very clean, with massive fridges and freezers. Multiple sinks and hobs also meant I never felt like I had to jostle for space even though it was always quite busy. Really comfy dining area with power outlets for laptops. My 4-bed room was spacious and thoughtfully furnished with clothing rails, a large shelf, two chairs ('chairdrobes'), which makes it so much easier to get organised.
I have zero complaints!

The place was great. Fantastic central location for the blue mountains. The kitchen was really big, clean, and well equipped. All the rooms used key cars which felt secure. There was a nice patio, and the dining and louge areas were large. There was also plenty of space to put your food. Also, the shower stalls had a bench and hooks separated by a glass door from the actual shower.
There was no AC in the rooms, and the window in my room didn't have a screen, so either let the room get hot or let bugs in.

The staff is so great, especially Connor! The facility is huge, with large rooms and a large kitchen and dining area, as well as an amazing sized common area and a tv room. The garden area is great as well, and it’s an easy walk from the train or to trails!
The bathrooms very obviously don’t get cleaned often. It seems they make the front desk staff also do housekeeping on their shift instead of just hiring housekeepers. The bathrooms started out somewhat clean but by the end of my stay there was the same pair of underwear on the bathroom floor for 5 days and a build up of toilet paper scraps on the floor and hair. Definitely a bummer, since everything else is so good.

What a great spot. Comfortable, warm room with double/single bunk and private bathroom. Breakfast was simple and less fuss for me than organising Breakfast before hiking. Kitchen facilities looked good... clean and well organised. Common areas were fab... roaring fire, pool and table tennis. Gorgeous building close to everything in Katoomba. Vietnamese restaurant was delicious (super busy). We did the Grand Canyon hike and I HIGHLY recommend it.
Had to ask a few times for things like sufficient sheets etc but every time I spoke to staff they were very quick to rectify.

The heaters worked, which was important bc it was cold at night. There was a lot of information available about excursions and activities. There was a sign in/out book to keep tabs on guests for safety purposes. I liked the layout of the room with a sitting area at the windows and the television. The bathroom was a nice size and with hot water.
The walls/floors are thin and you can hear everything including people's alarms going off with the vibrating and sounds; kids running in the hallway and activity in the rooms above mine. One night before 8 p.m. there was a guy who took to the stage in the shared space and he was doing some deep air guitar stuff. I eventually left the space bc I felt uncomfortable. All of this is kinda par for the course in the hostel world.

I adored this YHA! It's one of the best hostels I stayed in in Australia. It's in a beautiful building with a big kitchen, big common room and nice garden. I booked a queen room which was great price-quality. The YHA is about 10-15 min walk from the station and about 15-20 min walk from the three sisters. Great location to di some hiking, or to just hide out from the fog and rain with a good book. Staff is great and they offer a very nice breakfast buffet
The shower curtain was too short so whenever I took a shower, half the bathroom got wet.

Old school Art Deco charm. Ample facilities to relax and cook. Reasonably priced washers and dryers. Very quiet.
No AC. Room got toasty during the day. Table fan was provided. Faucet was broken in one of the bathrooms' sink. Hot water was pouring out all night. I had to close the shut off valve, but that cut off the water to the shower as well. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Beds are old and do not offer privacy curtains.

Loved our stay here- the hostel is in such a convenient location to everything (restaurants, cafes, key tourist attractions including three sisters, bus stop). Staff really friendly and willing to recommend places and how to get there. Great facilities including a car park, kitchen, lounge area, dining area, laundry room and outside seating. All ages were staying here so it’s suitable for everyone. Would definitely stay again!
Could probably do with a bit of modernising but this wasn’t a big issue for us.

Great location in Katoomba, manageable walk from the train station (trains from Sydney!). Large common areas including kitchen, dining and lounge. In context of the many guests it was sufficiently clean. We stayed in a private double room, a few issues such as light not working which they couldn’t fix but they did provide a lamp. If you’re travelling as a couple with a large suitcase suddenly it becomes very cramped but you’re not going to the blue mountains to spend all day in your room so not a big issue. Reception staff certainly aren’t efficient but again, not expecting more from a hostel. Wifi was strong, no issues with connection in common areas or room. Gets 5 stars from me; but if you’re used to hotels then this might not be for you!
