We had a 1 night stay heading towards Sydney and on return stayed another night. This hotel was perfect for this but I'm sure if you wanted to stay longer and had a young family it would also work well as has a swimming pool. We had a private bathroom room was small as we choose this for budget reasons but we had a TV tea coffee and small fridge. Breakfast was only $12 and quite substantial continental. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Having a pub just a few steps away was handy for a meal.
The room above was a little noisy I don't think people consider people below can hear doors slamming kids bouncing balls and heavy walking but we asked staff to make them aware and things went quiet.

We liked the location to the street and the fact there were so many eateries in walking distance . The breakfast price and variety was very good . We understand that you get what you pay for and it's not a bad place for a night or 2 .
We didn't like the fact that : A. Our doors wouldn't open and we'd constantly be asking the front desk for help and when you're on the 3rd floor it isn't an easy task . B. that we had to re-key our card each day but weren't notified that it was something we would need to do. C. There was very little space , it would have been good if there was a place to at least put our suitcase so we didn't trip over it. My mum was on the bottom floor, which was good, but again the door card needed re-keying and there was no room to place her suitcase out to access it properly.

Staff top draw and super helpful. Room size large enough for a bodyweight workout. A comfortable bed and reasonable bathroom, but no smart TV for Netflix or YouTube that I was aware. Food I suggest next door pub restaurant or walk 10mins to high street with many cafes to choose. For transport, there are local buses, using the bus app, or car hire that are nearby for my trip into the Hunter Valley.
I would like the breakfast offering to be better that poptarts, but there are plenty plenty options in walking distance. The other was the lighting in the room was so bright and could do with day night options.

The place is budget, there is no lying about that but I needed 1 night to rest and it did the job. They are currently upgrading rooms to have AC but there was a fan in the room if needed (it’s winter when I stayed so not an issue). Bed comfy enough, amenities a bit old but hot water worked and small room if you were looking for something bigger. Pub next door does great food. The real downsize was other guests making a lot of noise but I can’t ask the staff to stand there all night. All in all… budget but decent enough for a quick stay. You know this at booking that it’s no 5 star

It was the day of Christmas and quite busy. Reception was lovely and nice. We stayed for a night on our road trip from Sydney to Gold Coast. Reception staff was accommodating and helpful with replies and additional requests we made through Booking.com messaging option. Also the beautiful Forest Sky Pier is only a couple of minutes drive away from the hotel. Overall we were quite happy. Thank you very much to the lovely Reception and Admin team.
The only downside was the bunk bed on top of our queen bed, my head bumped into the bunk bed 4x and it was not a good feeling. You have to be aware of the top bunk bed when standing up from the bed. Except for this overall we recommend the place for overnight stop over place.

The staff was so Amazing and comfortable that ibis is so lucky to have Amazing reception staff.
The staff lady who did the Saturday breakfast was very rude to my children saying that it was for those who paying for it understanding she would judge my kids cause I'm brown mother untill I told her it was include in my booking and she looked shock so I said nah I rather just grab one thing and grab a pie from the bakery since I have to save for others which I was very angry.

The room was cosy and comfortable. I was able to open the window but still feel safe. Fresh air is important to me. The amenities were clean and functional and the bed was simple but super comfy and I slept really well. The main thing for me was that I felt secure staying at Ibis. I was by myself and the stay was to allow me to go to Baringa Private Hospital for surgery the following day. Not the most usual reason for a hotel stay, but when you live in regional areas, it's something you have to consider and do sometimes. Places like this reduce the stress and worry from these situations. I was able to use the common room downstairs to heat up an evening meal and the room coffee/tea amenties to have an early breakfast before fasting. Really good location, although the room info did state the nearby pub makes a lot of noise on Friday and Saturday nights. I stayed on a Wednesday and wasn't disturbed at all. Thanks Ibis.
The microwave in the common area wasn't very clean. Maybe being a bit more vigilant about wiping it out between uses or even supplying materials for users to do so would be a good idea? Staying on weekends sounds like a challenge due to evening noise from the local pub (this was listed in the visitor info sheet so you don't get this head's up until you are literally in your room).

Quick easy booking so on arrival we were greeted lovely and professionally. Easy in n out to get to our room. Lady on this morning was very sweet and helpful and ensured we had a good breaky of toast, fruit loaf, croissants, muffins and cerial and an awesome automatic pancake maker!! First time I've even seen one and they were yummy too!
Tiny little bathroom.. but we thought was perfect for just me and my child to stop in on way to our destination

Staff fabulous....bed comfortable, everything clean, breakfast was fantastic. The cereal was lovely...the fruit toast sensational..its the small things that made it great. Very happy for the price to be honest. I lo ved the shower gel...its was top notch. Great location. Car park ample.
The shower is small but functional. The room is small but for the price its good. There is no table only a small bench and only 1 chair but again for the price what more do you expect.

I had two small children with me (2 and 4), traveling solo from the Sunshine Coast to Sydney. The staff were most helpful and welcoming, went over and above to help. The facilities were clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast was decent!! Great value for money, we even booked on the way back! :)
Honestly, not much, the rooms are dated, but we only needed it to rest our heads. The walls are fairly thin, but you understand that, as it is what it is!
