Great location. Crystal on reception was lovely & extremely helpful. Room smelt lovely as soon as we walked in. Lots of complimentary goodies in the room eg coffee pod, milk, cookies etc.

No one’s fault, but because it’s on the corner of the main road, if your a light sleeper those trucks hammering past may keep you up. We are both great sleepers so had no issue. However, the property does provide ear plugs complimentary. Also, the room we were in had a door in the middle on the common wall between our room & the room to the right. Which was fine, however, it was located near where the other rooms kitchenette area was so we could hear the neighbour making their coffee & using microwave quite early in the morning. Aside from those minor noise concerns, it was great for what you paid for it. Would stay again if I was in town.

My room was very quiet from traffic noise. Many extras like biscuits, coffee machine, bottled water, even earplugs. Was asked if I wished to park my bike undercover.

Some of the room was outdated, for example; Bedside switches for tv, etc were incorrectly wired or marked. The bedside light switch turned off the TV. One power point below the window had a dodgy switch and only half worked. Shower tap spindles were worn out or bent and this made adjusting the shower very hard and constantly needed tweaking. The bathroom door had a full length mirror on the outside, which was good except that I awoke during the night for a pee and almost jumped out of my skin when I was confronted by a person walking at me in the semi-darkness :-) These are all small, repairable issues.

The owner met us when we arrived and was extremely helpful and kind, even taking us to the room to explain everything. Great comfortable bed and the room was spacious and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. The loction is easy to find just one turn off the highway and there is a hotel with an excellent restaurant a 5 min walk away.

No fault of the hotel, but we could hear the traffic from the highway during the night and that would be the only reason that we would not stay at this hotel again, as we were travelling and needed to have a good sleep.

Fantastic motel to break our Sunshine Coast - Sydney drive with our young children. The lady at the front desk was so helpful and we felt she went above and beyond what we have come to expect from similar motels in the area. The room is older, but it has been refurbished at some point, and is well maintained and clean. Everything worked, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom well equipped and roomy. The Little coffee machine in the kitchenette is a bonus! We stayed at a similarly priced motel on the way up to QLD 2 weeks ago (further up the road, on the other side) and it was dreadful! The Matador in comparison was so much better!. There is traffic noise but that is to be expected, being situated on Pacific Highway, however ear plugs were provided in the room. I cannot rate this motel highly enough, and we will definitely ONLY stay here when breaking this long car trip in future.

Easy to find location right off the main road. Very clean room with everything you need, including good wifi. They were accommodating for my late arrival and everything went smoothly to get my key after hours.

The only reason I didn't rate it a 10 was that the parking was a challenge with a full size SUV - apparently I was the last to arrive at a full house and the only available onsite parking spot was impossible to fit my vehicle. I ended up parking it in the main driveway in front of reception (allowing enough space for the 2 cars parked at either end to get out) and let the property know and it wasn't a problem. There is a fair bit of road noise (it's right at the corner of a major highway) but they provide ear plugs with the bathroom amenities if that would bother you for sleeping.

We have stayed here a few times now it's our go between overnight stay it is very convenient for us & the staff are exceptional very welcoming & friendly would do anything for you including never hesitating in helping you with your luggage which is a rarity these days. We would definitely stay here again if available & possible on our next trip away.

Have stayed here a few times previously it is our go between overnight stay the staff are so friendly & always welcoming couldn't ask for nicer people they help you with your bags etc which is a rarity these days & even tho the motel is on the corner of a major road it is very convenient to get to as well close to some eateries or supermarkets.

Noise of trucks but that's understandable as the motel is on a corner of a major road but you get used to that.

The room was clean and comfortable. For a family room it was really quite spacious. There was complimentary tea and coffee with little packets of biscuits to go with it, and more than enough bathroom condiments available as well. It was so pleasant to find so much things available for use, especially being complimentary as well.

The door handles were a little worn and just needs a bit of repair or replacing as we had a little trouble opening the bathroom door and the door to the balcony.

The property is located close to A1, within walking distance to the coast hotel for a drink and meal. The owner of hotel was very friendly and engaged my child in conversation: Property was very clean and provided all the basic you need. Microwave in room would be handy to heat up meals. Rooms have basic set of cutlery and plates bowls etc.

The traffic on A1 was noisy throughout the night. They provide ear plugs in the room which were of some assistance but could still hear it.

This was my third time here at the Matador convenient for our overnight stay. It is within walking distance or a short drive to eatery's or supermarkets if you like to eat in. The manager Danielle was exceptional went out of her way as always to help you with your luggage & anything else you may need she is so friendly caring & welcoming the best a definite thumbs up which is such an rarity these days. Will definitely stay again if can on our next trip through. 🙂

Just the noise of trucks late at night but understandable due to this Motel being on the corner of a major road & noise from other travellers otherwise all good.
