Big Windmill Corporate & Family Motel

The staff were friendly and helpful. I had the best night sleep I have had for quite a while. There was plenty of area for your car outside your room.

The soap dispenser in the bathroom had leaked all over the counter and onto the floor. I cleaned it up and let reception know. They offered a new dispenser but were not too concerned. The bed seemed to have been moved and not inline with the tv which made it hard to watch in bed. There are no power points near the bed to charge your phone. The kettle would not fit under the tap in the bathroom and the only way to fill it was to use a cup.

Upgraded to a king studio at no extra cost. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious and clean and a good supply of bathroom consumables. Little kitchenette was workable but cramped. Swimming pool was clean and well maintained. Staff were helpful and moved us to a quieter room further away from the highway noise.

Not much. The kitchenette by virtue of the room layout was a bit cramped but you could manage to work around it. The air con was too noisy to leave on during the night which made the room hot on a summer's night. It did work well during the day.

The Management, was so helpful, I had car and caravan problems. Their is plenty of room, if your towing to park. as i didn't know dates and length of time before repairs, management did really help out with the room to accommodate me. I had to extend my stay several times, so grateful. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy bed, only !km to the centre of town with plenty of different nationality restaurants and pubs and clubs. Excellent.

Unable to get staff for The Big Windmill Restaurant. But it is a Creative Arts Learning Centre, so learn to paint or photography.

Loved the cleanliness, presentation, and cooking facility. The bedding was comfortable. Lovely hot shower and welcoming were exceptional. Felt like a valued customer and nothing too hard when asked. Room although small was warm, inviting, clean and great value for money. Motel had all facilities required for both short and long term stays.

We were very happy with our stay and really could not fault it. Great location and plenty of car parking

It was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. They upgraded us when we arrived to a huge room with a kitchenette and two beds - one single and one queen. The kitchenette was fully equipped with a fridge, combined tabletop stove/oven, microwave, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery etc. The concierge staff were very friendly too and gave us recommendations for things to eat in the area.

The rooms are a bit old, but clean.

The staff at reception goes out of their way to ensure your comfort .. a Big thank you to Monique for the extra help that was definitely beyond your duty.

It's a bit far from the city and amenities. Being on the highway the noise of the traffic can be disturbing. But also close to bus route.

Bed was very good, staff were very friendly and welcoming,, Parking right at the front door of all the rooms and room was very clean with shower accessories provided as were hand basin soaps and hand conditioners.

Trucks using Engine Air Brakes illegally day and night as they went past and a noisy Aircon motor right out side our room window but we quickly got used to that and it wasn't a bother on the second night but the truck Engine Brake noise was a put off but could be improved with double glazed windows and sealing up the gaps around the room Aircon units. Restaurant was advertised as open but was closed down.

The proprietor upgraded the room at no extra cost. Woman at reception very friendly. Safe location with large area for activities and parking including a volleyball court. Pool and slide was being well used when we arrived. Dispensers for hand wash, shaving cream, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and one other were one of the best we have seen. Plenty of towels including a face washer that many motels omit. Plenty of power outlets. Sheets and pillow slips were crispy clean as was the room. Small table and two chairs outside the room were appreciated. Coffee machine in reception for coffee on arrival and departure.

Restaurant was closed as chef had quit his job. However the CEX club a little further up the road served an excellent meal. Could use a little more lighting in the main area or change to a more natural light.

The room was nice and airy - perfect for an overnight stop.

While the hotel is easy to spot once you find it (it's hard to ignore a giant windmill) it is hard to find and hard to access. The address on the correspondence was misleading: although it is listed as Coffs Harbour, if you put that into the GPS, you end up in the wrong place. The way the roads are configured means a lot of U-turns to access it!

found our selected room was the best choice they gave us... Rm10 in a comfy nook for parking, and that spot made the best of shade for the weary car too. The Windmill Restaurant itself was Closed, however well worth the look inside as it is still laid out looking like a restaurant. A local Artist is now in there with his artist school and was interesting to see what is in there.
