Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice of breakfast cereals and bread with toppings - yes a toaster was available, plus fresh fruit and the local choice of fresh bananas was fantastic (the bananas are so sweet and juicy), very special indeed. Our stay was all great, no downside at all. There was a swimming pool available which looked so inviting and the well kept backyard was gorgeous and really well kept.

It is a nice place. The gentleman who greeted me at the front was very professional and nice. The bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms were neat and a good size. I can't make comment on WiFi cause I didn't use it. They had breakfast available at the morning which was help yourself and they did the dishes as well. Honestly I tried to find one thing to drop it to a 9/10, but honestly couldn't fault anything. 10/10 would recommend and when staying in Lismore again, will book this place.

Fantastic spot and very reasonably priced. Became my favourite accommodation in Lismore after the first stay. Hosts are very welcoming, facilities are great, rooms are huge and all in all the house is a beautiful historic home that I would highly recommend - especially to those who like a bit of history and character in their accommodation and need a good night's rest. Will definitely come back.

I really can't say anything here - Melville house is right up there with the best places I've stayed.

The whole place was comfortable with a good.vibe. Back yard was spacious and lovely to sit and wander. Loved the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Warm friendly manager/owner. Great amenities and breakfast. Convenient to town. Will stay again.

Bedroom was small but didn't bother me for one night. Couldn't figure tv out or find manual.

Large room and bathroom. Plenty of room to move around and put your bags. Comfortable bed and lounges in the room. Although it is on a main road we didn't hear much noise. It didn't disturb our sleep.

The fridge could have been a larger size. There is a big fridge in the kitchen but prefer to keep medicines and personal stuff in a fridge in the room.

The Host Michael was very helpful in explaining access to the site and my room. I discovered the outdoor pool area upon arrival and immediately took advantage of it. A great pool. As a B & B i had many choices for breakfast which was appreciated. Comfortable room for me to get a good sleep.

A beautiful property, with friendly owner/management The room was lovely. Large and extremely comfortable. And to say the propety is dog-friendl is an understatement - the property really welcomed our dog.

I would have loved the back yard to be fully fenced, so that we could exercise our dog without having to go out to the local dog park. But it's not a big issue - the property was lovely in all other respects.

Lovely old home with cozy and comfortable facilities. Sitting room furnished with comfortable chairs, and lamps which made it an inviting place to sit and relax. Breakfast was self serve in bright and airy kitchen looking out onto a pretty garden.

The position wasn't within walking distance of restaurants or shops though it didn't affect me personally Taxi service in Lismore was fast and efficient though.

beautiful charming property with lots of character, very clean, great service and had everything we needed.

only downfall would be, we had the room near the kitchen/dinning room and you could hear all the noise from other guests in the kitchen. It didn’t go past 8:30, however we had to be up early in the morning and it kept my daughter up later then desired.

I had a great, no-fuss short stay at Melville House. I was unexpectedly upgraded due to unforeseen circumstances and the room was really spacious. I checked out early in the morning and didn't make use of the complimentary breakfast options but it all looked well appointed. Would stay again.
