Seahorse Inn Hotel & Villas

This is a beautiful and historic hotel that has been recently and tastefully renovated. We stayed in the main hotel building. Everything there is in exceptionally good condition and very clean and nice. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The dinner menu was very good. The location is right on the beach -- a bay beach with gentle waves.

Nothing serious really. Perhaps there were a few occasions when I felt that the space was noisier than it needed to be. The new renovation doesn't damp the noise much when you're in either of the sitting/couch areas, and there was a bit of occasional (but loud) kitchen machinery noise (not sure what) that we heard in our room and can probably be resolved. I know we're supposed to be getting away from it all here, but... the 'Starlink' internet access was excellent, but we were only able to catch the signal from our laptop, not from our phones. The other in-room internet dongle thing was fairly useless. Getting online was a bit of a puzzle, as a result.

Beautifully restored historic Inn. Quite luxurious and very comfortable. The breakfast served in the room was good. A stunned place on lovely bayside location, We were really looking forward to the restaurant for dinner after seeing the menu.? Cocktails very good but the food didn’t live up to the descriptions or price charged, but it was still OK. The waitress was very enthusiastic and had pride in her cocktail inventions. The wine list was more at a quaffing level, but good enjoyable quaffers. Would definitely stay here again, and eat at the restaurant accepting what it delivers.

The villa’s were beautiful, staff were amazing and super friendly, very accommodating. We travelled with our adult son in a wheelchair, our villa was maybe not the most practical in our situation, but staff made sure we were informed of this before our arrival. 4 stairs with our portable ramp was very steep to get up, our son had to be carried from his chair to the bed, absolutely no room for any size wheelchair to enter the bedrooms, however there was so much to love about the villa’s we still came away thinking we would definitely stay here again despite this

It was missing a few necessities, a toilet brush in the toilet. A shelf in the shower room to be able to put your clothes and a few toiletries would have been good. Path lighting from villa’s to get you to the restaurant area for those that walk over when it’s dark ( renovations are still happening so hopefully this will be added in time)

Outstanding location with beach almost at your door. Lovely building, rooms and facilities in a beautifully landscaped garden. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant is conveniently located and the food was sensational. You really don't have to leave the hotel. Totally loved it and will definitely be back!

There is next to no mobile data coverage in the area so having 4g modems supplying in room wifi was a poor choice. The hotel wide wifi was much better. The construction of our room pretty much meant getting the internet was not happening. Having said that (first world problems I know!) the stay was probably more relaxed because we couldn't be on line all the time!

beautiful location very friendly staff who care about their visitors. they work hard. from reception, the bar, cleaning, waitressing and the kitchen, all are a credit to the Inn. brilliant food and we ate most of our meals here. High quality and good variety available. delicious included breakfast in our room each morning small number of rooms, but good sized and beautiful views all sides I’m going to come back for another stay.

nothing I’d complain about. everything was great except patchy internet but when on holiday it is good to not have your head in your devices so much. Their was variable internet outside in Boydtown itself.

It was very close to the beach. room was clean. staff was nice.

shower cubicle cannot be fully closed. even if it’s closed, water came out of it and the whole bathroom got wet. when you flush the toilet, it refills with brown colour water. that was questionable to me. room was quite too small. I wanted to watch Netflix but it didn’t work due to poor network connection. I ordered calamari salad for dinner. it was nicely served on time, but it was very waterish. wet. I expected a dry calamari, but it was not upto the standard. they did not have a life or elevator. so I had to carry my bags in the staircase. so altogether it was too expensive.

Our room was upstairs overlooking the garden, it was quirky retaining many original features- not the usual boring hotel room. Loved the window seat! It was very clean; bed was comfortable and had everything we needed. The complimentary Continental breakfast was above and beyond what we had expected, fresh and delicious. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was enjoyable and very reasonably priced, service was friendly and quick. Location is peaceful and picturesque.

Flyscreens on the windows would be good as to have fresh air coming in the options for the windows were closed or wide open! The tea and coffee making facilities were a little awkward to access, maybe move them to the other side of the TV and provide a separate luggage stand, there is plenty of room for one.

Room was larger than expected and private and beautifully appointed. Our dinner and cocktails at the hotel restaurant was delicious! Location was perfect for our half way point along drive from Melbourne to Sydney.

Our complimentary continental breakfast was missing a few items we requested. But overall the missing items weren't a big deal to us. The breakfast was simple and decent. The walls of the rooms are a little thin, so we could hear our neighbors conversations.

Beautiful location historic hotel with beautiful ground delicious food super helpful staff. Our villa was like a cabin or a container home. Very nice new super clean great floor plan. Not missing anything. Bring coins for the laundry if you’ll need to do laundry on your drive thru

It was a bit of a walk or drive from the main hotel. And the sink and shower have a sharp step up which you can get hurt on. And the wheels on the bed are strange that they all move

No bath mats, hand towel or facewashers on arrival- we had to ask and didn't get everything we asked for Bar has no comfortable seating or ambient lighting -'cocktail lounge' is greatly overstated, really just a few soft chairs in foyer with no ambience No health club/gym/spa on site - while beach is lovely, this would have made it perfect for a romantic escape
