Staff are friendly, rooms have a microwave, cutlery, plates, bowls and a toaster which is great. They have an affordable guest laundry, good location and great showers in the bathroom.

Housekeeping could come at 10am or 3pm or anytime inbetween....one day they didn't come at all. The curtain does not fully cover the large window compromising privacy and letting in light. The decor and fittings are a bit worn and tatty. The motel is always used by a lot of "tradies" who tend to congregate in groups outside their rooms after work (4pm ish) drinking beer, swearing and generally being unpleasant.

The location is fabulous, the pool was wonderful & the bed very comfy. The unit was nice & clean and the staff friendly & helpful. We cannot wait to stay again when the Rsl is completed as it looks amazing.

The units are very thin walled' & the family beside us, for 2 of our 3 nights, were very noisy with little to no consideration of their neighbours throughtout the day or late at night. We've stayed here in the past on a number of occasions & unfortunately the issue with the noise isn't new. Maybe a bit of added insulation would help? The convenience of the location & vacancies being available make up for it, but it does take the shine off a lovely stay.

On arrival I was greeted by a young man, Connor who went above and beyond. The Ashwood Motel is associated with the Gosford RSL across the road and Connor stated that if I have Veterans Card I'm entitled a discounted room rate of 15% which he applied straight away, and then I was offered a complimentary membership to the club which would give me 10% food and beverages The rooms were great and I liked having a supply of crockery and cutlery, the bed was super comfy.

The only small complaint I had was the guest laundry which required tokens from the reception and they had no detergent available either. Also if you are coming from the East it's bit of a nightmare trying to get into the driveway.

The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. We had adjoining rooms and it was great with the glass sliding doors at the back to go back and forth. The staff are lovely and friendly and very accommodating with any requests. It is so close to RSL Club and can't wait to return when the new RSL opens up. Also other shops and fast food outlets walking distance.

The lighting in the room was a bit dull otherwise very good.

We travelled for work and the room was very comfortable, fairly clean and the parking and location was GREAT! The staff were friendly, the magpie stealing a biscuit from the trolley was hilarious! As was the worker offering to open the packet for the magpie (magpie said no).

The internet was very patchy and there isn't much mobile reception if you're with TPG. I needed internet access so found this frustrating. The tap in the bathroom was drippy unless you REALLY turned it off hard.

Fantastic location, 5 min walk to Gosford RSL (which is great for all meals) across the road, also given a complimentary membership to the RSL from the motel. Easy walking distance (within minutes) to MANY different shops, cafes, Coles, etc.. The room was clean and spacious. The motel surrounds were all very clean and tidy with a lovely pool area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great stay for 3 nights and a very reasonable price. Would absolutely stay again.

Bed a little uncomfortable, maybe a couple of broken springs on one side.

Chosen because it was close to highway to Sydney and further southwards. We only needed a bed for one night and did not need a kitchette or anything fancy. Room was simple but provided the essentials. As an unexpected bonus we were given a membership to the nearby RSL where we had a filling evening meal. Walking distance to supermarket and some interesting shops and cafes.

I would have liked to be able to open a window for natural ventilation, as I react to whatever cleaning agent hotel rooms use. However, I appreciate that for security windows are non-opening even in the bathroom (which was well ventilated by a fan)

Good value for an overnight stay. We stayed in a twin room, which consisted of a double bed and a single bed. Beds were comfy enough. There was sufficient bedding and decent pillows. Airconditioning warmed the room quickly and wasn't noisy. Staff are lovely. Gosford RSL is a short walking distance away.

There isn't a power point next to the double bed which would have been handy for my husband's CPAP machine. Otherwise no complaints.

Whilst this was my second visit, I found the first set of units as you enter on your right, to be absolutely A+. Beautifully set up, gorgeous ensuite and fixtures, and a lovely nice grassed sitting area out the back. Well worth the money spent. Unfortunately however, and I have not reflected my disappointment within this rating simply to be fair, but upon my second visit, I was given a back unit which was quiet a step down. Whilst visually appealing and comfortable, it was not what I’d consider value for money, when you compare it to the standard of the front units. Having said that though, the staff are very lovely, helpful, fantastic location and despite my criticism, I’d still definitely return though would specifically request one of the front units.

All staff were super friendly and helpful. They sorted out the issue with the microwave very quickly and with no fuss. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was nice and clean. Fit for purpose.

Wear earplugs if you're bothered by noise, as it can get noisy. Some grim left in the shower is really the only negative comment I have about the room and facilities.
