Location right across the beach. Lots of amenities around, great restaurants and cafes all walking distance. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Booking showed one bed but surprisingly got a 2-beds room which was perfect for my little family.

On our first night, I tried calling multiple times to order room service at around 9-9:30 pm for my daughter’s supper but no one picked up. My husband ended up buying some food from a restaurant down the road. Maybe should have had busy message recorded for the restaurant if they are too busy to accommodate room service.

We had 4 rooms in total as part of a family event. A 70th Birthday party which the Crown Plaza assisted in arranging the event and providing arioys room for our family members; 2 families of 4 and one of 2 plus Jenn and myself. The staff were exceptional throughout the stay and the function went smoothly. Great attention to detail. Lovely food drinks and excellent staff service. Everyone who came along were looked after very well and the family members who stayed at the Hotel were delighted with their rooms and buffet breakfast. We can't speak highly enough of the staff who went above and beyond to make us all feel special. And this was during a large group ( The England Female Soccer Team) stay at the Crown at the same time. A BIG Thank you to the Crown Staff; esp Michelle at Reception. She made sure everyone was in place for us at the beginning. Maureen the Manager. Oversaw all the event details. Patrick and Kimberley at our function were superb. So helpful and friendly. Kaitlyn and Denise at Reception whoever we need something done and when we were leaving were delightful and helpful. Great Team at the Crown Plaza Terrigal NSW.

Nothing that wasn't addressed and fixed by the incredible staff at the Crown Plaza.

The location is superb, nothing can beat the Crowne Plaza location at Terrigal. The reception that checked us in was very friendly and helpful, big tick from the first hotel experience. Pool is a bit small and way too packed when we were there, but with the beach and rock pool just across the road, we skipped the pool. The complimentary drinks for the kiddos are well appreciated!

The fact that you don’t get tea and proper coffee in the room ! There was a coffee machine no milk frother and no coffee cups until I asked for them ! And tea well you had to order room service for a cup of tea !! I have never stayed in a hotel that does not have a kettle

Beautiful view and the front desk staff were exceptional

The option of upgrading/including breakfast wasn’t explained at check in. The majority of staff at the breakfast buffet were slow and disinterested. One lady in particular was abrupt, bordering on rude. We had to ask for our coffees three times. Each time with a different person as no one came back to tell us what was going on. We waited over 45 minutes for two coffees. It was a disappointing end to what had been a great experience

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crown Terrigal Hotel and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel has clearly undergone a beautiful renovation, as my room was modern, comfortable, and stylishly decorated. Check in was seamless and we were well looked after, i'd particularly like to call out Denise at reception who was delightful and very hospitable. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning view from our room. We could see the ocean and the surrounding area, which made for a truly breathtaking sight every morning and evening. The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming, and I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. The amenities were also top-notch, with everything I needed to make my visit comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend the Crown Terrigal Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. The beautifully renovated rooms and amazing views are just a few of the many reasons why I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The lighting can be a little dim at times unless you turn all of the lights on - think this could be improved. The pool area hasn't changed much over the years and could have a little update.

Location, pool, rooms, food

One particular staff member was quite rude to my husband. He didn’t realise he couldn’t finish his beer (from the room) in the reception area. A simple “I’m sorry sir, you can’t drink that in reception or outside” would have sufficed. Instead her demeanour was very abrupt and rude and brought the mood of our evening down. There was no need for her to be so condescending when my husband is an amicable and friendly person. All of the other staff were friendly and helpful during our stay.

View and location was amazing. Staff were lovely on check-in/ very helpful / gave us an early check-in and we were upgraded to a suite. Nice and quiet, did not hear any other guests in the hallway which was lovely for sleeping in! Loved listening to the sound of the waves. Easy check-out too, didn't have to line up at reception. It was also our wedding anniversary, so my Mum organised through the hotel for a bottle of wine and a cheese platter + a sweet platter wishing us a happy anniversary to be delivered to our room. The staff did an amazing service ensuring we got the platters and wine at the right time ie early after checking in and also confirmed back to my family that it was in our room. Really outstanding service and it was a beautiful platter! The hotel also gave us a complimentary bottle of sparking!

We were upgraded to a suite which was amazing, but for such a huge inside area, the balcony was quite small. Seemed like a bit of a waste of space. I think you could make the balcony bigger. The other thing which was a little odd was having no sink in the kitchen area, the only sink is in the bathroom. If you are wanting to really enjoy the suite and lovely views and having drinks, you can rinse or empty your glass anywhere but the bathroom. For a suite where you would be inclined to stay in a bit more (rather than a normal hotel room) I would expect a better kitchenette / bar fridge with at least a small freezer for ice.

The View and the breakfast was beautiful, and easy access to the beaches was the best. Was able to find some beautiful spots closeby.

The door to the balcony was a sliding door which I didnt realise and was trying to push open. Had to call reception thinking that it was locked. staff member came up and showed that it is sliding. Maybe a sign saying that it is a sliding door would be helpful The Air Conditioning did not seem to be working on the first night (heating). Contacted reception the next day and they got it sorted.

Property was beautiful but what really made the trip was the staff, every staff member I encountered was friendly and accomodating. I was staying with two elderly disabled grandparents who the staff could not be more happy to assist, they provided a wheelchair helped pack the car and allowed us to take the wheelchair off location. Jodie the manager is a real assets to this hotel and Aaron was very helpful during our stay.
